Description: The Hub St Ives is situated in the heart of the town, we are a well established feature on the harbour front and an essential stop off for great coffee, fabulous cakes and amazing food. In the evening we are the ideal place for fantastic burgers or just to sip cocktails or sample one of our local and international craft beers and watch the world go by. We have a modern menu of really delicious burgers made in house from aged Cornish rare breed beef supplied by the fabulous Phillip Warrens of Launceston. Lobster Rolls when in season and daily seasonal specials. Our hot dogs are New York style but produced in the UK using 100% free range pork, oak smoked and seasoned with paprika, nutmeg & black pepper. Our burger and hot dog buns are produced by artisan 'Baker Tom' and delivered fresh everyday. As you can see our food is something we are fiercely proud of. Breakfast served between 9am and 11am Main menu served from 12noon Kitchen closes 9pm Bar open until late

“Great food and great atmosphere”
Reviewed February 25, 2011

Each time I have stopped in here I have been made to feel totally relaxed. The staff are attentive, fun and approachable. The food and coffee are great, reasonably priced and they serve Rattler too, perhaps too much for a lunchtime!
They have wifi connection and a some great Costes type music, understated but cool.
Will most definitely be back.

“Great food, great atmos....i'll be back”
Reviewed February 18, 2011

I've visited Hub on two seperate visits to St Ives and the kids still talk about it. Food was great, coffee-some of the best i've ever had and the kids loved the hot chocolate and home made cakes. View is incredible and a great place to watch the world go by. This is definately a family favorite and a must visit if you're in St Ives. (the G&T wasn't bad either!!)

“Beautiful views, great wines - a place to watch the world go by!!”
Reviewed February 15, 2011

Visited in the morning to sample one of what was reported (by our hotel receptionist) to be "the best coffee in town"; and we were not disapointed! My friend usually struggles to find soya milk when out; not a problem in Hub! I decided to try a decaf coffee and was surprised to find it was made with freshly ground beans; not the usual pre-ground blend that's been sitting around for possibly months! Delicious! As we were drinking our coffees a batch of "amy's cakes" arrived; couldn't resist a chocolate brownie (divine..you must try one!).

We returned a couple of days later for lunch - were pleased to see ALL wines and champagnes served by the glass....perfect when you all like different "colour" wine. The food menu and specials gave us a nice choice of options; and it was nice to see a variety of fresh, local (!!) seafood availiable -(specials were not "famous" or printed on laminated menus either....!). For the rest of the 2 weeks we stayed in st ives i think we visited Hub each day - there was always a warm welcome, and it was lovely to be able to bring the dogs in with us and not have to sit out in the cold!

“Training required”
Reviewed October 18, 2010

Ate here last year on our annual vist to St Ives and were impressed. This time we were disappointed. Three staff members on duty when we arrived. Talking at the bar including a bit of clearly audible ripe language. We sat at a table waiting for service for five minutes but none forthcoming. The table was filthy in any case, as was the one adjacent to it. Suggest staff make connection between customers and their wage packets. Came into the place ready to spend our money but went elsewhere in the absence of any interest. That's £100 off their turnover - don't know what this converts to in profit but clearly the current economic situation is just an abstract idea at the Hub.
