Wonderful food. Excellent service. Crab and scallops starters to die for. Pork belly and mussels wonderful. Doughnuts and rhubarb second to none. The price was supurb for what we had and red lebanese wine perfect. Impessed!! Lovely restaurant. Please go . from the minute we went in was superb.

“Fantastic restaurant - don't miss it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014 via mobile

We went here 6pm on our second eve in St Ives having found it on Trip Advisor. Warm welcome, beautiful contemporary interior and chefs visible in kitchen. We were first in and as others arrived realised carefully staggered so all cooked for and served amazing food without stress!! Food out of this world - fab tastes and beautifully presented. Cannot recommend highly enough - should reach No1!!

“The best in St.Ives”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

If you like good quality and regional food, this is the right restaurant. It is by far the best dinner we had eaten in St. Ives. We were there twice there. "The Black Rock" is sure to be known about St. Ives addition - a culinary delight! Very friendly and sympahtischer service! The homemade bread is actually outstanding! I wish them loads of sucsess!

“Absolute Must”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

Found this restaurant by accident and can't believe how lucky we were. Really beautiful, seasonal and local food served by happy, cheerful people in an attractive yet unpretentious venue. We both chose from the 'blackboard specials' and were not disappointed. Excellently cooked and presented. We finished with the chocolate doughnuts to share......I should have got one just for me - delicious!

“Loved it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

Nice small unpretentious restaurant run by the chef & his partner. The food was excellent from start to finish. My bavette of beef was truly melt in the mouth & came with green vegetbles and delicious beef drippring chips which were completely devoid of grease. My partner declared his belly of pork to be excellent. We then enjoyed a shared a rhubard steamed pud with ginger panna cotta, a desert wine & a coffee. All were excellent and very good value.

We've recommended it to friends who will be in St Ives next week & will certainly return when next there.
