The service was friendly and helpful if slightly thin on the ground. One person serving behind the bar and one person serving breakfast. Therefore, be patient.
The rooms are newly decorated ( you can still smell the paint) to a good standard but very simple. There was no WiFi in the room and the TV signal was weak. There was also no hot water until I asked for it and the shower needed more power.
The menu is standard gastro pub food and the breakfast was standard but lovely.Freshly baked bread is a nice touch.

The hotel is right in the heart of St Ives so there is no hotel parking. The railway station car park is the best bet at £6.50 for 24hours.

Generally, the hotel is a comfortable bolt hole which has just been refurbished in an attempt to bring in new punters after many bad reviews. I felt we paid for the refurbishment at £90 a night when £70 would have been more fitting to the standard of the hotel. Nice bar and food but basic and overpriced.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Queens Hotel it's perfect for a weekend in St Ives, the rooms were light and airy and simply but tastefully furnished, much nicer than places we've stayed previously. We were visiting friends with the kids and the pub was great for young ones, they loved the food, which was home cooked and delicious. The marmalade ice cream was a favourite. I would heartily recommend it!

Just wanted to rave about this new find! We were nervous about staying as some of the reviews were a bit dodge but a friend recommended it as new owners have taken it on and apparently gutted the place. Definately feels fresh and good vibe on entering the bar with very friendly welcoming staff. Off to a good start. Having enjoyed a fantastic lunch downstairs in the bar (great selection and very fairly priced) we checked in. Our room was simple but nicely decorated. Would highly recommend to anyone else!

I stumbled on the queens hotel by accident, I only went in for directions, and the young lad behind the bar was so friendly and couldn't be more helpful that I decided to have a drink, there was a really chilled ambience and the decor was cool with big leather sofas to relax, the lad behind the bar offered to show me a room as I hadn't actually booked in anywhere, I ended up in room 5 which you just couldn't fault, bathroom spotless, bed linen and towels also spotless white, was only meant to stay one nite but after the fantastic full english I changed my plans so I cold stay one more nite, great place to stay and explore cornwall, would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.

Just got back form our trip to St Ives and felt I had to leave a review for this hotel. The service was friendly and efficient the food was amazing and the rooms were really good value. We will defiantly be staying at The Queens Hotel again and recommending it to all our friends in the future.

The hotel is right on the High Street, an ideal location for shops, restaurants and the beach. It had just been tastefully refurbished when we arrived. The bar area is modern yet cosy and the bedrooms are comfortable and clean. Every member of staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely - breakfast is included and was delicious and plentiful. We also ate there in the evening, would recommend eating there even if you don't stay!
One thing that you should be aware of is that there is no lift, however, we travelled with a small baby and although a lift would have been handy, this didn't effect the enjoyment of our stay. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to lone travellers or couples.

We've just returned from 1 nights stay which we found in Laterooms. I was worried due to previous reviews but it's just been refurbished throughout and our room was less than a week old! It was spotlessly clean, with a compfy bed. Just a tiny little moan but could do with a full length mirror and a hairdryer but they're not essential! Food in the bar was excellent and so was breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful so would definitely stay again.
