“Good food, good service.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013

Ate in here 5th Nov, dreary evening outside on a Monday night, place was full, we didn't book a table, but that wasn't a problem they found us one straight away, lovely attentive staff informed us of how the restaurant works and we chose our food, starters came out quickly and were great, then mains chose bass & dover sole, no sauces just homemade chips and a Greek salad, they have lovely red wine to go with fish which was light and just right. All in all very enjoyable.

“Fish frenzy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

We came back to the Seafood cafe after our first visit 18 months ago and it did not disappoint! If anything it had improved further!!!
Excellent array of fish to choose from, helpful and friendly staff, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced! The fish medley is always a winner and easily feeds two hungry soles! Would highly recommend and will certainly visit again

“Really fresh fish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

Very fresh fish which you choose from the counter and then choose a sauce and potato to accompany. The fish was amazing but the Thai sauce and homemade fries were slightly disappointing though. The sauce didn't have that lovely freshness that Thai should have and the fries seemed more like frozen than handmade. The seasonal veg was good and well cooked.

“Just what you're looking for”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

I’ve been visiting St. Ives for many years and it’s good to see a restaurant that has survived and stayed true to it’s original offering. Trading now I believe for thirteen years the Seafood Café offers exactly what is says. Imaginative twists on the old classics along with the novel concept of building your own dish; choose your fish from the counter, add any desired rubs or crusts, and compliment with a sauce of your choice.
Dishes on the children’s menu were freshly made and extremely well received (especially the fish pie which was fab).
We ate at lunchtime which was rammed so I guess you’ll need to book for the evening session.
Oh, by the way, they do meat too!
Staff were efficient and friendly, wine good value. One of the better watering holes in the town I’d say.
