“Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location”

We stayed here with our 11month old and couldn't have been happier with our choice. It was a lovely cottage, just yards from the harbour and pubs and restaurants. The welcome tray on arrival was a lovely touch. Although slightly nervous about the parking situation (we bought a weekly ticket at the village car park for £28) when we arrived, we actually really enjoyed the walk up and down through the village each day to the car park at the top, along the lovely coastal path. Would definitely recommend staying here...sitting in the living room window seat with the sounds of the harbour and the little stream running alongside the property was just lovely, it's a gem of a place.

“30 seconds to the harbour”

This cottage is located in the centre of Port Isaac in a street running alongside the lifeboat station. You can get a car down this street to unload but you have to park in the car park at the top of the village (£28 per week).

Nicely appointed kitchen and downstairs bathroom and compact but large enough lounge. The lounge has a window seat over a stream which gurgles past the cottage. Two bedrooms upstairs one with WC and sink.

The cottage is old of course which is part of the attraction. However be prepared for a slight damp/musty smell on arrival which is inevitable when you consider the age and location. I understand that pretty much all these old cottages suffer from this issue but don't let this put you off as once aired it was fine.

Port Isaac is lovely of course and we spent every evening drinking wine down on the harbour. Had a lovely meal at the Mote and the steak night (Thursday) at the Slipway hotel is very good value. We were lucky with the weather so had a great time with so much within easy reach. If you fancy a not too taxing stroll you could do worse than walk to Port Gaverne which has a very nice beach when the tide goes out. The busy pub serves food and good beer. Walk out to the seat on the headland and enjoy the views.

“Ideal Location, Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed April 20, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This is a lovely, homely and good sized cottage which comfortably accommodated 4 mature adults and our beloved westies. Well equipped and very clean. Particularly useful was the fact that there was a bedroom with it's own toilet as well as a family bathroom. It was ideally located right in the centre of Port Isaac. Yes, there are some steep stairs to reach the bedrooms but given that 2 of our party are in their 80's and managed them comfortably then this posed no difficulty.

It did not take us long to figure out how to get the car to the property safely and with ease to load/unload luggage and passengers albeit the roads are very narrow and not really suitable for cars.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage and would not hesitate to stay again - and hopefully will!

White Pebble Cottage is all anyone would ever need, clean, comfortable, well equipped and great location.
Went looking for a chilled out,out of season quiet location and found a cracker.
Port isaac, perhaps to many well known for the tv series Doc Martin(ourselves included),is PORT ISAAC, a town with it's own strong identity. The tv series is evident but not overplayed.
Every shop, gallery, pub or resturaunt you go in, you get a real welcome without anyone being overbearing.Refreshing.
Our rental for the week was first class,we had extreme weather for a few days but this only added to the experience, all heating was included so to come home to the cozy cottage after being bombarded by the elements was awesome, gales, snow, wind and rain could'nt ruin the mood.
Will definatly return, again out of season to get the full effect of the cottage.
