We ate here last week at lunchtime whilst on holiday, having never tried it before but always stopping in Port Isaac for lunch, usually at The Golden Lion.
We ordered crab sandwiches which came on stale bread with hardly any crab even to taste, the side salad was past its best with black slimy leaves stuck to other leaves which was the kind you buy pre packed but obviously gone past the sell by date.
I took the half empty plate back to the bar and told the girl who said I'll pass that onto the kitchen! No offer to change or any kind of refund, I was left stood at the bar so retreated to the outside and finished our drinks. Staff came in and out but nothing was said to apologise. We was so disappointed after fancying trying The Slipway for a long time.
I think the way this was handled was appalling and it will be the Golden Lion for us again in the future. The chunky chips were nice and the only thing in its favour along with the view.

We had a lunch here of seafood chowder which was really great. It’s a wonderful place to kick back and watch passerby’s while having fish and chips, and a pint.

Wow, the staff seem to be incredibly disinterested, moody and unhappy here, scared to ask them anything as they grumpily served their customers, what harm does it do to smile. Good for a cold pint if don’t mind paying £5 for a pint, as they have the best place for people Watching around. The food coming out on the plates looked basic and Unloved

The staff have no interest in the customer what so ever. We ordered 3 meals and they were awful. Not child friendly at all. Never again.
