Outstanding location and views from our room #11. Friendly staff. Quaint cafe, hearty breakfast. Clean room and bath, thank you staff! Will be back and will recommend the Slipway to friends and family. Thank you Port Isaac for a memorable stay!

Room tip: Take the scenic seaside walk to Port Quin. Check out the Mote restaurant and Golden Lion pub, both worth multiple visits!

Stopped for 5 nights with my MUM... Unfortunately not suitable for some one who struggles to walk the flights of stairs...

Standard service.

Rooms were clean but small.

Overall the stay was enjoyable

Cant say anything about evening food as we ate out but breakfast was good

Our greeting to the Slipway was basic. This is your room. No information or advise on where to go. The landlady was cold. She told us the bar closed at 9pm and last food orders were taken at 8pm. The room was ok, nothing special. Paint flaking off the wall and only one plug socket could be used at a time. The kettle facilities were basic, with one biscuit provided every day. The shower was tiny but adequate. If you were a large person though you'd have no chance. The shower was hot, the towels were an excellent size and felt very soft. The view on the other hand was amazing. It made up for all the flaws. We ate first night but the choice was VERY poor. We opted for fish and chips large, @ £16.00 per person and came looking like a child's portion, so who knows what the small portion looked like? After that we ate out every night. Not many 'pubs' in the village, more posh nosh and fish dishes. Breakfast was very nice, enough. However the landlady didn't refill our coffee and forgot about us!! We returned at 8.25 one night to be told the bar was closed because it had been quiet, and to go elsewhere if we wanted a drink. This was from the landlady!!. I feel this B&B is reaping the rewards from the events that happen here, and extremely over priced for the experience. It's nothing special apart from the location. We were woken every morning at around 3.30 - 4.00 with deliveries, bin men and bottles being emptied etc No respect for people staying there.

We had a lovely time staying at the Slipway hotel. The location of the hotel is unrivalled in being close to everything that Port Isaac has to offer. The double room we had with a balcony wasn't the largest of rooms, but was clean and adequate for the 3 nights we stayed. The view from the balcony was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the breakfast satisfactory. As with most of the hotels and guest houses in Port Isaac you can drop your bags/cases off, but you need to park in one of the 2 public car parks which are a 10 - 15 minute walk away.

Room tip: Room 2 with balcony over looking harbour. Not the largest of rooms, but perfect for a short stay.

While on a short walking break my daughter and I had booked a twin room at the Slipway at Port Issac without realising the "Doc Martin' connection. When we arrived they had a problem with the twin room we had booked, however they gave us two ensuite double room next to each other with a small shared balcony overlooking the harbour. All at no extra cost to us. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and staff couldn't have been more helpful.
We had our evening meal at The Golden Lion, one harbour pubs which was lovely and really good food. Breakfast the next morning was everything expected.
We had an enjoyable break and would certainly return.

One small note - both rooms appeared to have had the door frames damaged around the locks, not sure what's gone on there. This didn't detract from the stay though.
