We stayed for 2 nights in May at this fabulous guest house, surely one of the best views of any place I have ever stayed! Our bedroom faced the harbour and had a window seat which was well used. The rooms are very comfortable and the whole house is beautifully furnished and decorated. We found the owners very friendly and helpful, although the dog was not best pleased when it had to vacate the swinging chair on the patio! If you want somewhere with a view to die for right on the coastal footpath then this is the place for you!

My wife and I have just returned from a week at Hathaway, Port Isaac and we cannot speak too highly of this superb guest house. It is set above the harbour of this picturesque fishing village and has wonderful views of the village itself and of the coast towards Tintagel and Bude. Our room was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, had a TV and all we needed to make tea and coffee. Breakfasts were excellent and set us up for the day whether we were walking the cliff path or cycling the near by Camel Trail. We received a very friendly welcome and were treated like members of the owners' family. Before leaving, we booked a further week later in the year and are already looking forward to our return.

We found this place while we were planning our coastal walk and the tourist information in Bude has also recommended the place. So when we arrived to Port Isaac we just headed to this adress. The location is absolutely top and the house is very pretty. However the welcome was not very friendly. I had the fealing that we were not wanted there as we arrived with backpacks, dirty shoes etc. But if you are doing the coastal walk, there is no other alternative.
Although the tourist information stated the price as 30 ppp we had to pay 40.
The breakfast was stated to be at 9.00. When we requested if we could have ours 30 min earlier, the lady refused the request just by stating that the girl who prepares the breakfast will not be at the house earlier to organise this. It was a disappointment on the next day to see the other guests finishing their breakfast when we arrived the dining room at 8:50.
The rooms are clean but I still had the feeling that they are not well managed e.g. the milk in the room was 2 months overdued.
