We have been to polperro many many times over the last 20 years and never called in to this pub
It is very quaint and it is at the end of the habour

We had lunch and I had the fish soup which was excellent the food was of high quality and the ale was great

Very friendly staff and would recommend a visit

Popped in Sunday lunchtime, what a delight.
Two lads who served us,very friendly hosts, nice atmosphere, log fire to boot.
We could have stayed there all day drinking, felt right at home there.

Deserving of its high rating, a proper old fashioned pub with good beer and good food. Big portions, well prepared and very good value for money. Small and cramped inside which just adds to the character. Open fire when we went, lovely place and we'll be going back.

Attended mon evening, last minute decision to eat. Pub busy, upstairs dining full, but managed to find a table within 5 mins of arriving. Bar staff friendly, good choice real ales to choose from. Food amazing- huge portions for the price, both me and partner had the pasta and seafood specials. Fresh seafood and vegetables, expertly cooked and seasoned. Couldn't fault the food, service or the pub.

We ate here 3 times in 3 days ,the food was superb for pub food and the staff were so helpful.service was as good as it gets ,the space is tight but you expect and love that from a Cornish fishing village pub .they allow dogs in to so ,how much more do you want ! 5 stars to staff and owners a great pub to eat in !
