“A special place, a wonderful stay”

No praise is too high for the owners of The Cottles. They run the loveliest B&B in the loveliest little Cornish town of Polperro. Mark and Jo will feed you well and make you comfortable, give you advice on walking or sightseeing and show you gentleness and kindness that's rare in British hospitality. Watch out Moffatt - we'll be back !

We stayed in the Cottles for one night on our trip around Cornwall.
The Room was very clean, comfortable and was reasonably priced.
The owners are a very nice couple who are very friendly and helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble. The room was quiet and peaceful.
They offer a full cooked vegetarian breakfast which was lovely and unusual for most B&B’s we have stayed in. We have no hesitation in highly recommending the Cottles and would definitely stay again. Many Thanks !

A fabulous find! The Cottles is run by Mark & Jo - the friendliest B&B owners you could ever wish to meet. A great sized room with good bathroom. A fully stocked tea tray with the added touch of free bottled water and after dinner mints. The breakfast is first class, freshly cooked, local produce and a selection of cereals, juices and yoghurt, all eaten in a bright conservatory over looking the valley. Access to The Cottles is up a fairly sharp incline, so the private parking is very useful. Fabulously located close to the main carpark in Polperro where the tram goes down the hill to the harbour area. Would definitely stay again!

The Cottles is very easy to find, situated about half way up a very narrow lane. We arrived slightly early but were greeted by Nick who, after showing us to our room, made us both a much needed brew after our journey which we sat and drank in thier nice decked terraced garden overlooking the valley. Our room was quite small, big enough though, but very clean and nicely decorated with everything you'd expect to be there including two small bottles of water replenished each day, tea and coffee making facility and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious with the usual drink and cereal choices plus a choice of cooked breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients. Nick and Jo made us feel very welcome and I would definitely recommend the Cottles to anyone wanting to stay in the lovely and picturesque village of Polperro.
