I enjoyed a lovely retreat whilst at Borea Barn in Nancledra.
Gillian, the host, made me feel so welcome and looked after.
I enjoyed sumptuous vegetarian breakfasts whilst I stayed.
I would recommend the place to anyone exploring this part of Cornwall. It’s 4 miles from Penzance and St Ives.
Much more than a B&B, with your own bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and private entrance.
If it was later in the year I’d have made use of the wood burner too!
All very welcoming.
This B&B has the best of both worlds - a B&B but with a lounge, bedroom and bathroom to yourself.
Wifi worked well, the lounge is very comfy, breakfast fantastic, don't let the vegetarian part put you off. There was an amazing fruit platter, cereals, multiple yogurts as well as a cooked option. Vegetarian sausages were offered but I didn't try them.
I wasn't keen on the hand held shower over the bath but everything else was great.
It is conveniently located between Penzance and St Ives. It isn't on the main road but is on google maps.
Ideally located, close to St Ives or other locations close to the coast.
The breakfast is served with plenty of fresh fruit. And of course toast , fried egg etc if you want more. We liked also the living room , from which you can see via the windows the surrounding hills and meadows of cornwall.
From here we also when to Gunhard Head Inn for a coast walk (fantastic rocky coast views) combined with a very nice dinner in the bar of the Gunhard Head Inn.
Difficult to find, first time if you arrive in the small village --> put the road Borea in your GPS :-)
