All three rooms which we occupied proved to be light, tastfully furnished and generous in size. Everything about this delightful b & b showed that the owners were meticulous in everything involved in running a successful business. The English breakfast was generous and beautifully cooked. Nothing was too much trouble. Russell and Hazel gave 100% and we could'nt find a single flaw. Well done and highly recommendable.

This B&B was located within easy walking distance to the town and water front. The rooms were comfortable and clean; however, the rooms on the third floor (lots of steps) were the same price as those on the lower floors. Breakfast was OK, but not special. WIFI did not work.

Room Tip: Request rooms on the lower floors.

Please see other reviews regarding food offering, we have not altered our menus this year.
We apologised for wifi issue, it has since been rectified, we are in a four storey victorian granite building and we cannot 100% guarantee wifi - we do our best to ensure customers have access if we are advised

Stayed for 3 nights in august. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Right from my initial enquiry before booking through to our departure, the owners were friendly and helpful. We were asked to pay in full a month before our arrival which I have never been asked to do in a B and B before but as we stayed in peak season it makes sense. Would definitely stay there again.

We live in Florida (US) and this was our second year in a row staying with Russel and Hazel at the Pendennis. We had the best time. After our excellent stay last year we didn't even consider staying anywhere else. We brought our grown children this year and everyone loved it. Russel and Hazel are friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home. I left there feeling I had made new friends. I will always remember their warmth and hospitality. Their B&B is very very nice, clean and centrally located. We walked everywhere. They serve a wonderful "full" English breakfast every morning which in itself is worth the trip; The dining area is nicely appointed and breakfast is a delight. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. We will definitely be back. If you are from the U.S. and you have never been to the S/W coast of the U.K., it is well worth the trip especially in late summer. The climate is fantastic and the scenery is breathtaking. I find that most of my friends have no idea how beautiful the coastline there is and how clear and pretty the water is. The scenery is stunning. Penzance is a good staging area from which to tour the S/W coast and Land's End area. There are many historic small towns to visit, the people are friendly and the food is absolutely terrific. I would highly recommend the Pendennis if you are planning on making the journey. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: For two people we like the front room on the 2nd floor w/ the bay window. Talk to the proprietors, t...

Returning to Cornwall after many years we decided to stay in Penzance and found the Pendennis trough the Internet. We did not regret our choice, as it was a very agreable place to rest between our excursions. Parking (on the street) was easy and free. The restaurants can be reached after a short walk on the promenade. A place to be recommended.

My wife and I had a lovely few days at The Pendennis in Penzance for our Anniversary and a bit of peace and quiet away from the mainly grown up kids for once. Location is a short, flat walk to the centre of Pendennis. Our room was spotless, a good size and the breakfast excellent. Hosts Russell and Hazel very friendly, with a good sense of humour.

Our first ever visit to Penzance and we loved it.

Penzance is not the most charming place in Cornwall, but it's a good base to visit the southern coast. The Pendennis B&B is in a quiet street, near the seaside.
We stayed in a wonderful large room with a big bow-window.
It's clean and has a touch of marina-style that fits perfectly with the town mood.
The hosts are nice, and serves a good breakfast each morning.
