We've been visiting Penzance for the last 20 years in various different cottages, but this was the first time anyone has ever welcomed us in person or said farewell at the end which was a very nice gesture. The sea views were fantastic and the cottage itself was warm and comfy, whilst knowing the car was secure in the garage was an added bonus. We will not hesitate to visit again in the future.

This seafront cottage was all it promised to be and more. The three bedrooms (two doubles downstairs and a twin upstairs) were all a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The lounge was our favourite place, with armchairs facing St Michael's Bay and Newlyn. We spent many happy hours sitting there. The shower was fine and the kitchen had everything we needed cooking-wise. It was great that off-street parking was provided behind the cottage. Maureen, the owner, answered all my questions beforehand within a few hours and gave me the reassurance I needed as I was travelling down with my elderly father. Maureen also provided us with a delicious saffron loaf, which we both loved, and a pint of milk which came in very handy. The centre of Penzance is well within walking distance. You just turn right on exiting the cottage and right again up Morrab Road and bear right. There are two beautiful parks in Morrab Road. Further down the main seafront road there are two large supermarkets, Lidl's and the Co-op, and we were able to get all our provisions there. Maureen and her husband checked that everything was OK just after we arrived and again as we were leaving and they left a telephone number for us in case of an emergency. They could not have been more helpful (or nicer!)

Location is excellent and sea view is fantastic.
The cottage is clean and "full of characters".
But you must carry some "one pound" coins to pay for the electricity meter. The rental cost does not include the electricity bill. Also extra 5 pounds are charged for the "Towels supply" per head.
This quirky cottage is situated right on the seafront/promenade at Penzance. Its spacious with three good sized bedrooms, and the added benefit of offroad parking. There are little steps and the room configuration may strike some as unusual. However, once in the sitting room (which is situated on the first floor) the cottage comes alive with the most glorious view. You can see across to St Michaels Mount and Newlyn, watch the Scillonian set sail for the Scillies daily and chill out people watching. The welcome tray included a saffron loaf which was seriously yummy and a really kind & thoughtful gesture by the owners. Not the most up-to-date decor but with the great view, central location and parking its a good place to stay in Penzance.
