“Nice food bad service”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

The food was great and the portions were very generous, but the two waitresses (one who I thought was the manager) seemed very stressed, even though only half the tables were being used. I asked one waitress which of the two ciders on the menu was dry, but neither waitress knew, she went away to check the label on the bottle only to find they had none. I had mussels which were great, but at no point did any of the waitresses ask how the meal was, and they just seemed to be ignoring us. Poor service great food, would I go back probably not.

“Average food, poor service”
Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

Got to the place, only one other couple in the restaurant. Wanted a quick bite to eat so thought, not busy, lets give it a try. Well, almost an hour later the food came out, didn't think it was a difficult order, chips, panini and a kids burger however took ages. When I asked how much longer the food was going to response was it's now coming. 20 mins later.....by this time another table had sat down ordered and were half way through, when ours came out. Food ok, nothing special. Don't think I'll be going back..

“Harbour side delight!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

My family and I had a lovely meal at the Boatshed. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful waiting staff, who kindly found toys and colouring books for the children. We order starters, of which arrived promptly with the children's food. The children devoured their child's pasta and our Calamari and pilchards were delicious. We had a very relaxed evening and carried on to enjoy a lovely bottle of wine and our fresh and tasty main courses.

I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Thank you for nice evening and we will be back for more next year! Especially of the Cornish seafood dish is still on the menu.

“Lovely harbour side restaurant, child friendly, excellent service and tasty fresh meals”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Lovely friendly restaurant. Excellent waitress service. Very enjoyable atmosphere and food was fresh vibrant and tasty. Child friendly and not too long a wait. Quaint little place with lots of Cornish character. A lovely place with lots of history.
Will be returning on my next visit to penzance. Highly recommended and a seabass is a must, followed by their homemade cheesecake.

“Ok but very slow service”
Reviewed June 5, 2013 via mobile

On arrival we were greeted with a a smile and then left for 20mins, wondering if it was waitress service or not, eventually the waitress took our order..
The food took 35 minutes to arrive and we only ordered panini's, chips and tapas..
Atmosphere was good, friendly service, food was tasty, but very slow service!..
