I visited the Fat Fish whilst on honeymoon in Cornwall. It is ideally located close to the car park, train station and on the way into town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It has the added bonus of also being licensed to serve alcohol! My husband Clive had a lovely plate of fish and chips and said how tasty it was. The portions are very generous. The main reason for writing this review is that as well as ordinary fish and chips, they serve gluten free fish and chips. This, as any Coeliac will know, is pure heaven!! The member of staff I spoke to was very knowledgable about the requirements for cooking gluten free food in a safe manner. The gluten free batter was the best I have ever tasted and the chips were plentiful and delicious. Definitely worth a visit whether you are Coeliac or not.

the cafe was empty when we arrived, we then waited nearly an hour for fish and chips that was being cooked next door at the take away?!
another 20 minutes for the ketchup to arrive! when fellow customers arrived and later enquired where their food was the answer was " it will be a while as we are 'bangin'" what sort of managerial response is that? the food was average and not hot, very over priced and very surly staff, a real shame as its location could be excellent. will not be going back there.

This place was such a disappointment. The small fish was more like a fish finger in size and the chips were not chip shop chips! I'd hate to think of a tourist eating fish and chips here and getting the wrong impression!
