“Stunning must-see”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

This is a gorgeous place, well worth a stop. We had wanted to watch a play here but the season had just ended a few weeks before our visit. My family still talks about this place, it was a highlight of our trip. Rowena Cade was an amazing woman who had a divine vision. She built this incredible theatre by hand, even hiding it during the war. Not to be missed.

“Minack blues”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

This has to be a place to visit any time of year!!
as a photographer it is very magical to capture the blue of the ocean even when the sun is fully overhead...you cannot fail to fall in love with this beautiful area of Cornwall
wandering around the theatre is awe inspiring when you realise it was one ladies dream that came true, once you have your ticket ...get it stamped and you can return as many times as you wish within a year, a real bargain.
The Food in excellent, and very reasonably priced and you get a view like no where else in this country.

I think this is a top place to visit...you cannot fail to love being there, try an outdoor play, but take a cushion and check the weather may need a mac...but you will still enjoy.

“incrediable view”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

Only been once, but what spectacular scenery. I myself don't like the steep steps but the kids loved running and climbing all over Cafe was ok but then it is a tourist attraction. This place does have a bus service 3 times a day(bus 504) run by western greyhound. Best to take a coat and an umbrella for the shows just in case

“A Beautiful Place”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We visited the Minack Theatre in the Summer to see this wonderful theatre created by Rowena Cade, her gardener and his friend. It is stunningly beautiful built into the cliffs, it is shaped like an amphitheatre with the sea as a backdrop. The gardens are beautiful with exotic and stunning plants. When we visited we were fortunate enough to see very talented singers singing film themes. Access is very steep in places but there is a section at the top of the tiers suitable for wheelchairs which also has seating for people who may find exporing the theatre difficult due to it's steepness.

Admission was only £4.00 an absolute bargain and worth every penny. The visitor centre has a very interesting exhibition telling the story of the creation of this wonderful theatre. The toilets were immaculate with a lovely arrangement of flowers in them.

On site too is a small cafe offering light refreshments and snacks, the view from the cafe windows overlooking Porthcurno beach are truly stunning. Porthcurno beach is absolutely beautiful with white sands, and the sea a turquoise and deep navy colour.

Cannot wait to return to this beautiful place.

“Spectacular Position”

A really interesting diversion on our trawl around Cornwall. We spent a delightful hour wandering around the theatre itself - a photographers dream. Lovely cafe and a really nice exhibition/film.
