Very friendly welcome. Nice, bright room with good TV, bed etc but shower disappointing. Breakfast amazing - so much choice. Nice location but noisey road.

This lovely Victorian guesthouse is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere pleasant and the landlady helpful. The breakfasts were excellent (lovely fruit salad!). The position of the property is convenient and parking easy.
A couple of minus points. The dining room was too small for the number of guests and got rather crowded. Our double room (no 5) was very small. My husband and I aren't big people but found it extremely cramped. Heavens knows how a large couple would have managed!! The door of another room (on the 2nd floor) was open as I passed and I peeped in. It was much more spacious with a lovely brass bedstead. If you are booking try and get that room. I thought it was very inconvenient that the room did not have hairdryer - surely that should be standard. It was mentioned on the website in the room description so I didn't bring my own. Won't make that mistake again! It was rather wet and windy when we stayed and I needed to use one quite a lot. There was one to borrow but it was located upstairs and was shared by the guests. So I had to keep popping up and down the stairs. Once it wasn't there so I had to wait for it to be put back - with wet hair! That's annoying!
However, in spite of these criticisms this is a good place to stay. Its reasonably priced and we slept well (bed comfortable and room quiet),

Room Tip: Try to avoid Room 5 - very small, no wifi

Nice welcome from Liz.. She was friendly and offered good advice on where to eat and what to see.

We had a double. Room was clean but a bit small, particularly as we tend to live out of our bags so they live on the floor. En-suite facilities fine.

Breakfast is partially self service - you make your own drinks and toast as well as serving yourself with cereals & fruit. The fresh fruit salad was great. However get down early as it tends to get crowded around the breakfast counter.

The b&b is a short walk to sea front and not too far to town centre.

Parking is on the street in front of the b&b. We had no problem finding space at the height of the tourist season.

Nice b&b.

We stayed for one night. The room was quite small but it was very clean. The owner was very pleasant and helpful in telling us where was good to eat and where we might like to visit. Breakfast was lovely and there was a good selection of breakfast foods available but it was only from 8am - 9am.

We stayed just one night on our way to the Isles of Scilly. We had a double en-suite plus a twin for our teenage children. The rates are modest and we had expected a fairly simple B&B, and I was really impressed with facilities and attention to detail that Rosalie House offered. The rooms were immaculate and well furnished - very comfortable beds, flat screen TV and DVD, and the double had a small sunny sitting area. The twin room (not en-suite) was quite small and perhaps might have been too cramped for a longer stay, but it was fine for us - this is a victorian house and the rooms are of different sizes. The owner was very friendly and helpful - she knew we had to leave early to catch the ferry, and was up waiting for us to ensure that breakfast was served promptly. Breakfast was excellent - hot food nicely cooked using good quality ingredients, and we really liked the fact that we could make our own tea and coffee and toast when we wanted it, rather than having to ask.

As it said on the website, parking was no problem, and it was only about 10 minutes to the town centre. All in all, a really nice B&B and we'd certainly return.

Free on street parking was a bonus.
The rooms are quite small for doubles, only having room for half sized wardrobe and not much room for luggage. Fine for 1 person for a couple of nights. Not all rooms are ensuite.
No lounge or garden area available to guests, so pretty much stuck in room when you are in.
Breakfast was very nice, if you don't mind self service for toast and drinks. Lovely buffet choice, including fresh fruit salad that was delicious. Cooked breakfast made to order, able to meet individual needs.
Liz, the owner, was a helpful host, who gave good local information.
It is a great base to explore the area: St Michael's Mount, Marazion, Mousehole, Cape Cornwall and St ives all easy to reach.
I recommend visiting St Ives via train from Penzance, it's an excellent service.
Also the local gallery in the park is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: I would recommend you book direct with owner to avoid any confusion as not all rooms are ensuite.
