The menu is very basic but the special board is where it's all happening. Varied and tasty I can always find something interesting to eat and enjoy. The cakes are also tough to resist. Definitely worth a visit

“Lettuce Salad”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

Lovely food, cant fault it, but a salad consists of just more than lettuce. Was disappointed to find just a lot of lettuce leaves on my plate, what happened to Tomatoes, onions ,cucumber etc.
An expensive meal for what I got, 2 corn fritters and 3 potatoes and a plateful of lettuce leaves.

Stopped here after a walk around town..place was quiet but beautifully kept.. Had sublime coffee... Better than any you will find in your average high street coffee chain.. Both ordered a filled baguette for lunch.. We're fresh baked and filled with excellent Brie and homemade chutney.. Served with some very expertly dressed fresh salad leaves..not hurried out and left in peace to enjoy our coffee and chat... Would recommend to anyone looking for too quality... Best cafe we found on our weeks holiday in Cornwall

“Great little place for tea and cake”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

My wife and I visited twice during a recent visit to Penzance. Its a bit of a quirky place (reminding us a bit of our days in Berkeley California), but the coffee is great, and the baked goods are worth a detour.

“A cosy haven on a stormy winters day”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

After a bracing walk from Newlyn to Penzance on a stormy afternoon in early January we took refuge in the Honey Pot. We were revived with a delicious lunch of Vegetable curry with a distinctly South Indian flavour. The salad was beautifully fresh and I loved the dressing, the coffee was very good and the cakes, delicious!
The service is warm and friendly but not too intrusive. The atmosphere is cosy and homely without being "twee". In short, it had all the elements needed to make for a very enjoyable end to our Christmas holidays in the UK. If ever you find yourself in need of refreshment and in the Penzance area, then I can highly recommend The Honey Pot.
