Description: Relaxed dining with a stunning ocean view of the the Atlantic Ocean forming a jaw-dropping vista towards the setting sun, this is a relaxed restaurant offering the finest Cornish breakfasts, dinners and Sunday lunches. There is a strong emphasis on serving locally sourced produce, such as Newquay Bay lobster or Carnanton Estate pheasant. You will be served by friendly and knowledgable staff, who have been known to point out dolphins frolicking in the waves outside.

Apparently one of the largest family run hotels in Europe. They must be great people to work for as the staff always seem very friendly and keen to help. We have eaten several times over the years and hae not had a bad meal. The main reasurant is quite traditional but we like to eat in the bar which has a conservatory type building on the side looking out over Fistral beach, we find this a bit more casual, food comes from the main kitchens and is always great and a little bit differant and imaginative

As expected, this wasn't the cheapest nIght out, but I feel it was money well spent. Everything was of the highest quality and the service was outstanding. We took the children and didn't feel stressed as we were surrounded by families. My daughter made friends. The food was excellent, but some of the portions on the meagre side. We started with scallops, which were very tasty, but lacked a little salt- for my taste. For main course We had the surf and turf, which consisted of one prawn and half a fillet steak. It tasted fantastic- the flavours in the jus were delicious. The deserts were lovely. The desert wines were perfect. The gluten free cheesecake was a highlight. Coeliacs are well catered for. Cocktails were great. We would stay in this hotel. Loved it. A great night out.
