Love Cornwall anyway,

We have been to whiteacres 5 times in the last 2 years, we are going back in may.

We love this place so much we are thinking about buying are own caravan.

First time we went we stayed in a log cabin, which was a bit pricey. Second time we stayed in a park dean caravan, times after that' we googled privately owned caravans, which worked out cheaper .

Me and my partner fish so the 13 lakes were great for us, we try and fish for big fish with our biggest being 65lb cat. . Not sure to much about the night life on site but they do have a bar,

We have never had a problem with this site. Including guess everyone seems to be friendly.

I have read bad reviews about the guys who work in the tackle shop, all the guys are great and friendly, bar one! Who is Match fisherman don't think he likes carp fishers! :-/ he wasn't very helpful,

I would highly recommend this place, to fishing people and none fishing people with family's .

Room Tip: I would google privately owned caravans. Rather than going through park dean

me and my partner my two daughters and my young son came here after being told about it by my fishing friends we went last year 22nd September one week
we stayed in a Penrose lodge, we reviewed this site before coming as it was for me to go there with fishing in mind, there was a lot of bad reviews on trip adviser which made me unsure about going with the family, As a fisherman i am used to staying in a bivy tent for a week eating baked beans.
The point is this site is for fishermen (people) and park dean are trying there best to turn it into a place for everyone, and there doing a great job the lodge was fantastic ,clean, accommodating, warm (Worcester boiler} we where sweating it was that warm so who cared if it was a bit cold outside your in England.
the location is second to none a beautiful place just to walk around , or go for a cycle ride out of the park, we took are bikes but we never used them as there was to much to do in a week swimming pool my little lad loved it , yes its basic but for me that was a bonus on top of the fishing the gym i didn't have time to go to but it looked basic, entertainment at night was great for my little lad but a bit young for my older daughters the bingo was great i nearly won 340 quid:-) the restaurant was excellent clean and good food you could end up getting a load of noisy fishermen sat next to you so don't go for a romantic meal without first thinking of that, the free WiFi is handy and the bar area is fine with next door arcade.get out to Newquay its only a few miles down the road and Morrison is along the way.
over all it is primarily a fishing venue and if you stay in a caravan the quality will vary a lot unless you pay for new this season, the lodges are great we are going back in a contemporary lodge cannot wait going for 2 weeks this year, this place will get better for people who dont go for the fishing but bare in mind that is what it is a fishing venue,

Room Tip: if you dont care and are just fishing go for the the cheap caravans if you have family and they dont fish get a lodge or new caravan

After reading reviews for this park was a little worried on what to expect.
Arrived at the park and checked in were given the keys to our lodge and off we went to find it, found in a couple of mins.
Opened the door to find the heating on nice and warm and a bottle of champagne on the table as a welcome present nice touch.
Lodge was a 4 bedroom lodge and plenty big enough for the 8 of us (4 adults & 4 kids) with enough kitchen equipment to cook meals as well.
Entertainment for the kids was good and they really enjoyed themselves and the entertainment team could not do enough for them.
Not sure what all the negative reports were about as we had a really enjoyable stay along with our friends.
Will probably be going back in the summer.

~Had a lovely week at White Acres 13th Oct to 20th Oct. Stayed in 2 bed contemporary lodge on "foxglove meadow" beautifull setting, peaceful and relaxing. Accomodation first class and comfortable. Whilst we were extremely lucky with the daytime weather which enabled us to get a few days fishing in, had it been any different we would have still enjoyed our stay. Found staff (reception/bar/shop/tackle shop) freindly and helpfull when needed. We shall return and would reccommend to others

Stayed here 27/10/12-3/11/12 Our party had 3 caravans. One was Penhallow, with our dog,Teal and the other was Kenwyn.
Penhallow was not worth the money, no decking,no carpet in living area, just wripped lino, fire in living area didn't work properly, had to get maintenance out twice to it. There was a hole under one of the beds you could see the ground, not very impressive! And the bedding was left in a bag outside the caravan for you to make up your own beds for penhallow and kenwyn, teal beds were already made, not very impressed i must say!
Kenwyn on the other hand was very spacious with spectacular views with decking. Although the carpet was very dirty and considering this caravan was new in 2011, was quite surprised, although it was a really nice caravan with all mod cons.Shower room was nice and big too. Teal was ok, but preferred Kenwyn, teal had washer/dryer but small seating/living area, space was limited for family of 6 but again, was very nice caravan with decking, so would be even nicer in summer.
Club was of good value entertainment, entertainment on every night.Swimming pool was adequate although didn't actually use it. Gym was also adequate, my husband and son used this on a couple of occasions. Shop was very well stocked considering it was the end of the season and the chip shop on site was really good. There was an arcade which kept the kids entertained and also games area such as pool, darts (take your own darts, dont seem to be provided!),air hockey and ten pin bowling. Costa coffee lounge area was lovely for a chat and a coffee or a beer, but really relaxing atmosphere. Several fishing lakes, although we only found one!! There is a Morrisons supermarket near by which we used daily! We could not fault the site itself and will deffinitely return, but be careful when booking budget caravans, you don't get what you pay for, well, we didn't, we got worse than what we bargained for. Great surrounding area and great location to get to all local areas. All in all we had a really good week despite the hiccups,we have stayed at Hendra before but have to say this is the better site

Room Tip: The Kenwyn is a good sized caravan. The Teal has a washer/dryer but seating area is not very big
