Stayed here 27/10/12-3/11/12 Our party had 3 caravans. One was Penhallow, with our dog,Teal and the other was Kenwyn.
Penhallow was not worth the money, no decking,no carpet in living area, just wripped lino, fire in living area didn't work properly, had to get maintenance out twice to it. There was a hole under one of the beds you could see the ground, not very impressive! And the bedding was left in a bag outside the caravan for you to make up your own beds for penhallow and kenwyn, teal beds were already made, not very impressed i must say!
Kenwyn on the other hand was very spacious with spectacular views with decking. Although the carpet was very dirty and considering this caravan was new in 2011, was quite surprised, although it was a really nice caravan with all mod cons.Shower room was nice and big too. Teal was ok, but preferred Kenwyn, teal had washer/dryer but small seating/living area, space was limited for family of 6 but again, was very nice caravan with decking, so would be even nicer in summer.
Club was of good value entertainment, entertainment on every night.Swimming pool was adequate although didn't actually use it. Gym was also adequate, my husband and son used this on a couple of occasions. Shop was very well stocked considering it was the end of the season and the chip shop on site was really good. There was an arcade which kept the kids entertained and also games area such as pool, darts (take your own darts, dont seem to be provided!),air hockey and ten pin bowling. Costa coffee lounge area was lovely for a chat and a coffee or a beer, but really relaxing atmosphere. Several fishing lakes, although we only found one!! There is a Morrisons supermarket near by which we used daily! We could not fault the site itself and will deffinitely return, but be careful when booking budget caravans, you don't get what you pay for, well, we didn't, we got worse than what we bargained for. Great surrounding area and great location to get to all local areas. All in all we had a really good week despite the hiccups,we have stayed at Hendra before but have to say this is the better site

Room Tip: The Kenwyn is a good sized caravan. The Teal has a washer/dryer but seating area is not very big

I was staying (for the 1st time) with some family who come here every year for the fishing. I used it as a base to go do my own thing and found it worked really well as there's loads to do - you do need a car, though, as White Acres is pretty rural.

We ate at the onsite restaurant a few times and found the service to be wonderful. The staff were always so cheerful and willing to help without making us wait for anything. One of the things I always notice is whether a place is clean, which both the restaurant and the bar were. There's also free internet access, which you can use anywhere in the building as long as you bring your own laptop/whatever device you have, and there were a few people (me included) in the bar one afternoon chilling out, chatting, drinking coffee/wine/beer and surfing the net. It was a lovely, contented atmosphere.

We stayed in one of the lodges and, again, it was nice and clean and in good repair. The boiler stopped working one day but someone came to fix it within about 1/2 hour of it being reported. The kitchen is completely kitted out with everything you'd have at home (microwave, freezer etc) so there's no hassle about keeping/preparing food. There's a supermarket about a 10 minute drive away so that's really convenient too. I gather that the park has improvements and developments made to it each year and it shows in how well it's all kept.

Just something to be aware of - don't leave bait on the decking that the seagulls (possibly pterodactyls?? They're huge!) might be interested in because you'll come back and find it all gone. They don't just take though, they also left an equal amount on the decking in, shall we say, 'processed' feed.

I can see why people go back year after year.

Having been to White Acres previously i thought i knew what to expect although having returned i found i was wrong. The caravan we stayed in was nothing short of atrocious, the bedding had disgusting huge stains on them, the cleanliness wasn't present, there was mould and damp all over the curtains, the bedroom walls, the kitchen and the bathroom. The pilot light failed three times during our 4 night visit, and it took maintenance a considerable amount of time to respond to our notification. Freezing water in a freezing caravan not good! As for the fishing this is great, and the location is also very good.. the evening entertainment is cheesy but satisfied some of the guests whilst we were there. This place has gone downhill badly since Parkdean took over,

This was our 3rd time to white acres,we booked one of the pet friendly lodges this time for 10 nts and we were very happy with the accommodation,it had two bedrooms very spacious living area and felt very cosy with the central heating. Our dog loved the decking area he could be nosey and watch the world go bye. The weather was mixed during our stay and did effect the fishing on some of the days. We used the restaurant and bar on a few occasions we found the food good and reasonable priced. I also used the gym while husband went fishing ,it's free has treadmills bikes free weights and machines its a bit dated but workable. There is also a swimming pool but didn't use this. The park has a shop and fish and chip shop which opening times vary . This park is a good location to a number of dog friendly beaches and padstow is only 12 miles away.We now go to this park every year and booked for next year before we left.

visited this park many times and as always had agreat holiday. we always have a lodge by the lake the men fish the ladies relax. our lodge was clean and tidy the kitchen area had washer/drier fridge and small freezer. restaurant bar and entertainment facilities verygood. our 4yr old grand-daughter had a great time with the childrens entertainment at the club every evening. the only drawback if you have a disability is the site is quite steep and a long drag to the facilities.

The site is a great place for a fishing holiday, lakes are easy to get to with plenty of pegs. If you've got people in your party who will not be fishing, make sure they have access to a car so they can explore Cornwall as there isn't much to do on the site apart from fishing. The staff in the tackle shop were extremely helpful.

The caravan it shelf was clean and tidy and looked pretty smart. The only let down with the van was the beds were a little too soft and I ended up sleeping on the sofa. The entertainment was pretty good and they even had something for the kids
