My husband an I have just returned from a 5 day break at the Eliot Hotel with Alfa Travel.
The hotel staff are all very pleasant and helpful,a big thank you to Hayley and Filip for being very friendly when serving our very delightful meals, also for June on the reception who couldn't do enough for you.
The hotel is nice and clean and friendly through out.
Our COACH driver for Alfa was also very helpful and friendly.(Derek)
We will certainly visit the Eliot again.

Just got back yesterday from a coach tour with Alfa, couldn't wait to write up a review. The Eliot Hotel was excellent!! Friendly staff (especially June & Filipe) close to everything in Newquay and the beachs! I stayed with my husband and 2 teenagers and while the majority of guests were elderly it made no difference to the holiday, the teenagers loved it; pool table every night and J20 to drink!!.
Food was to an excellent standard, great choice and the veggie option well thought out, enjoyed every mouthful!!
Ok the hotel is a bit dated but with such friendly staff, comfy beds and tasty food you hardly noticed.
An excellent time had by all, great value for money really enjoyed my time there and my holiday overall! :D

Just spent a week at the Eliot with Alfa Travel. The food and service was very good. The staff were helpful and pleasant The hotel is dated but for the money you pay its very good value.
The entertainment was rubbish and very few people went into the bar. The majority of people who stay are in there 70s. At 55 I felt quite young! Saying that I would stay there again if I returned to Newquay. You are within walking distance of anywhere in NEWQUAY.

Cons. The main problem that we had was trying to sleep as there was no air conditioning and it got very warm at nights even with the windows open and the weather this week was grey and overcast. If it had been a hot August we would have suffered at night.

We were on a coach holiday with Alfa Travel and I chose the holiday because Alfa used the Eliot and I had read the reviews of the Eliot on Trip Advisor.
When we pulled up outside I felt like I had become an extra in a fifties film and we had arrived at a holiday camp.
However, first impressions were soon replaced by a lovely clean room with a walk in shower, friendly staff and super efficient service. Meals were piping hot and speedily delivered to our table with good quality produce.Petrov our waiter was very pleasant and QUICK! Good menu. Times are restricted.
The hotel is nicely located in a side street and we took a few nice little walks to the beach before breakfast and in the evening
We went to The Eden Project The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Truo during our 4 day stay.
I would choose this hotel again for a private visit because it was good value for money and the experience would also encourage me to look at other Leisureplex hotels in Cornwall and the rest of the UK.
June is the lady to ask for information. She runs a tight ship.
Entertainment was provided although we passed on the Bingo we enjoyed the singer/guitarist.
Cheap Cheerful Comfortable Cozy Classic Canny Hotel man.

Room Tip: Room with a walk in shower. I could work this one without asking my husband to switch it on!

We have stayed at the hotel a couple of times now and every time we have been really well looked after! The rooms are cleaned to a high standard, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice and spacious.
The staff are what make this hotel, ESPECIALLY JUNE! She always has a smile on her face and is there all the time! She will go out of her way to make sure you have everything you need and that everything is ok with your stay! She will stand and talk for hours if you let her which is nice as she is so vibrant and it really makes you feel welcome!! If June left, the hotel wouldn't be the same! It is our number 1 choice of hotel in Newquay and it is CHEAP and right in the centre of Newquay! Couldn't ask for more! THANK YOU JUNE!!! :)

Administration could not be faulted. arrived, keys and registration cards on the desk all ready, suitcases taken and put outside our room door. Entertainment most nights.
