Owner description: Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity. It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds. Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats! See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels. And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more. Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

We love trips to the zoo and this does not disappoint. Its intially painful when you first pay (although no worse than any other zoo) but then you find out that you get free entry for the rest of the week it makes it excellent value for money.
There is a good range of animals and the grounds are very clean and well kept. Food is good value for money with a cream tea less than £3!
Car park is always packed but luckily we walked there.
Lions roared lots, baby lynx were cute. You can see a sloth very up close and personal.
we went three times and kids loved it every time.

Was bought tickets as a gift before a trip to Newquay. Went with a 2 year old and a 4 year old. They both loved it! The animal enclosures are all very nice, children both loved all the play parks and the maze (never found the right way out!!). We took a picnic and there was plently of choice where to eat it. Lots of picnic benches spread around the zoo. Children had their faces painted, fed the meerkats, saw the penguins being fed. They were most excited to see the lions, however they weren't as exciting in real life as the meerkats!!!

Only issue is the parking is a pay and display you can pay with your phone, however wasn't sure how long to put on the car, only put on 4 hours and could have spent another 2 hours there, children didn't want to leave!

Newquay Zoo is great value for money. We paid on the Sunday and the tickets could be used all week. So when we returned to Newquay after our trips we called into the zoo for an hour or so most days

We went on a drizzly day to keep the kids entertained. £35.00 for a family of 4 was value for money. I took up a few hours. Kids loved it & we did too.

Would not recoment eating there though as you do get attacked by the seagulls.
