After Booking a well needed two day break with my partner and dog, I was really disappointed with this hotel. Not only did we not get much rest due to the constant noise of creaking floor boards both in our room, upstairs and in the landing, the cleaniness of the room itself was not to a good standard (if you happen to be there in the near future do not look under your bed). After politely complaining, we were given the room next door, which had the same exact problem. Speaking to staff, the option of a refund on my 2nd night (to go home early) was not granted. I am thoroughly disappointed with this hotel, and would not recommend to stay there. The views however are absolutely stunning no doubt about that.

Actually the review by Lynne T says it all. I totally agree and I believe I was at the same conference. When I arrived in my room I was quite impressed until I walked over the floor. I was more worried about the noise below but shouldn't have been as the occupants the other side of the wall came back at 1.00am and any chance of sleep was ruined once every noise from next door had firmly woken me up!

Yes the hotel enjoys some fine views, especially from the restaurant but one night was enough. The pool was OK but the sauna didn't get very warm!

I didn't even get the conference rate as I booked on the internet!

Room Tip: Test the floor before you accept a room. I don't know whether all the joists need screwing down! I was at the back of the hotel ROOM 23 overlooking the holiday apartments.

Decided to go for Morning Coffee at about 11 am the day after Spring Bank Holiday Monday. Entered the deserted Brasserie area apart from a couple discussing their wedding arrangements with a Glendorgal rep. Had to ring the phone on the bar which wasn't answered and went to a recorded message. Managed to get an off duty staff member to get another staff member who couldn't operate the coffee machine and offered us a inatant cup of Nescafe! Decided to leave at this point and go to Porth Veor Manor where we were catered for.

I stayed at this hotel on Thursday night in a twin room shared with a work colleague. On arrival at the hotel I was impressed by its prime location with beautiful views across the beach. Reception check in was easy and uncomplicated. Our room was clean and comfortable and everything you would expect in a twin room, tea and coffee making facilities but no personal touches or extras (no biscuits or towels folded at the end of your bed or indeed samples in the bathroom). Tiled bathroom floor was cracked and plaster on the bedroom wall by the window was cracked and need of cosmetic repair. The price of this room was £150 ppn! I have to say I was not impressed. The floor boards were squeaky and I feel that the price of the room did not reflect the quality I was expecting.
I had a comfortable nights sleep and headed down for breakfast the next morning. Staff were attentive and we were offered a good choice. Breakfast was help yourself to toast, juice and two choices of cereal, I was expecting table service and a much wider choice!. Full English breakfast arrived, again disappointed as bacon overcooked and meal warm not hot.
Overall, poor quality for the luxury price paid. Would not recommend. We happened to be part of a business conference. Again, poor standard of conference care, had to repeatedly ask for tea and coffee to be topped up. Poor standard of lunch provided. Hotel hadn't set out tables etc that were needed for our sponsors to set up. During the conference the main door kept catching a draft so that the door banged repeatedly and disturbed speakers, this carried on most of the day. I felt the staff paid little attention to our group. I am afraid I cannot recommend conference bookings either! Would not recommend this hotel.
