“Value for money and still not too popular.”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

We were looking for a nice place as a family to eat and all the main big name places were full so we googled this place. We managed to get a table with an hours notice for 8 of us. the food was great and really good value. Kids main meal was only £2.75 when we went and its a good meal.
The mussels maincourse is huge dont take it on lightly.
The service was quick and waiting staff were friendly. As this is a little nit out of town it was nice and quiet but with this value and meal size its only a matter of time before others start to catch on surely.
A meal for 8 with desserts and drinks was £75 and in this day and age that is very good.
Only slight criticism would be that they dont do kids desserts so if your kids want puddings they have to have adult portions. Also the smoking area is directly outside the front door so you have to drag your kids through a cloud of smoke to get to your car but these are only minor things.

Went as a group of 4 adults and 3 children. The food was very tasty and good value, especially as kids eat free.

Reviewed August 8, 2012

Been going Newquay for years and sure this place has changed hands as pretty sure it was a right dive before!! This time passed it and looked worth a pint or 2 then had a steak and onion baguette amazing!! I was with 7 others ranging from 13yrs to 50yrs and the pub was ideal with great staff! Great food and drinks! And a pool table. We visit Newquay each year at least once so hope you keep it up for our next visit

Being one of the lucky residents of lovely Newquay Cornwall for many years with it's fantastic beaches and surf. A must visit for all you locals and tourists in the area who looking for a great eatery and pub, go no further than The Brook House Inn. Situated on the main Henver Road into Newquay out of the hustle and bustle of the main town, it has a relaxed, ambient atmosphere and is family/children friendly too. There sumptious menu ranges from succulent steaks and grills. authentic Thai cuisine for those who like it 'Spicy & Hot' to traditional beer battered fish & chips. Proper chunky home made chips too, just like your mum used to make! There an evening A La Carte menu plus daily specials and tempting, tasty desserts if still have room after your main. A venue large enough for parties, a light lunch with friends, cool beer in the garden or delicious sunday roast all very reasonably priced. They offer a discount to us locals with their loyalty card, which can be obtained during your visit at the bar with proof of address. My friends and myself all have our locals card and regularly visit and eat there. Also there Sky TV and pool for all those sports lovers. Regular promotional offers and fun themed events run through out the year. Evening entertainment consists of open mic nights with prizes, various top live bands and much more. During the day the proprietor Alex Selfe likes to play DJ with a great varied mix of tunes to suit all tastes, requests taken! Service with a smile from the cheery friendly staff and a fabulous tasty menu. All fresh produce prepared to order all to be found at The Brook House Inn Newquay Cornwall. Angie Newquay.
