“Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

Called in on a Wednesday night. Had a nice welcome from the chap behind the bar and he got us a table quickly. Was going to have a carvery but didn't look that good so we had a curry and lasagne. Curry was nice but the nann bread was stale, lasagne was ok,ish. But very watery as though it had been frozen. Only 1till working at the bar so long queues. The pub could with brightening up as it was a bit drab but the service was ok. Don't think we would go again when in Newquay as its only average .

“Good value pub food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

We visited after an afternoon of surfing for lunch. We arrived after they had just stopped serving but they agreed to cook us a meal which was a relief!

The menu included the average pub food you would expect. Portions were decent and the food was good.

“Roast dinner nothing special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

Just had a roast at this pub. Have to say that it was nothing special and lacked flavour. The gravy was like water, however was homemade... The meat was over cooked and was scarcely given...

Other food on the menu looked nice however and this pub always seemed to be busy when passing. It maybe that we got the short straw on this occasion.
