They used to do a lovely Sunday carvery but we went there tonight and the food was so awful it actually made me feel sick... I ordered a nut roast which I was told will be brought to my table but it never turned up... Their desserts, puddings etc come from a freezer and those same puddings have been on the menu for years... Won't be coming back unless they improve/update the menu and start cooking fresh food...

After walking out from a near by pub/restaurant due to hideous customer service. We were feeling slightly fragile. However, from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left we gained some faith in Newquay hospitality!
The waitress' and chefs were so friendly and the carvery was simply stunning.
Highly recommended and we cannot wait to come back (Probably next Sunday!)

On our regular weekly visits the landlady and staff go out of their way to make sure all our needs are met. The food is excellent pub grub, keep promising ourselves one of their renowned Sunday lunches. By the way, the hanging flower displays are fantastic admired by all who pass by.

This was the best carvery (roast) dinner I have had outside someone's home and made more impressive by the quantities of people they were serving. I had the roast lamb with vegetables and from the tenderness and tastiness of the meat and perfect preparation of the vegetables (none were overcooked), you would not believe that the kitchen was preparing huge quantities rather than for just a small table of guests. The desserts were also perfectly prepared. The serving staff were attentive and refreshed items just before they ran out. They were also friendly and helpful and had real attention to detail. Don't be put off by the 80s decor as you'd then miss a delicious and plentiful meal at very reasonable prices!

Had several meals including a delicious carvery there. Daily dishes including fresh fish. Not a high class restaurant, but a pub with fresh food and good value for money.
