This pub is in a good location between town and Newquay Zoo.
There is a restaurant type seating area, and also a more pub likeseating area. Both serving the full menu.
There is also often a carvery, today had beef/pork.
We kept to the main menu, and had fish of the day/chips, and Chicken New Yorker.
The fish was cod, not a massive portion but certainly adequate.
My chicken was fine, basically chicken/bacon/cheese melted on top.
The only critiscm is a personal one, I would have preferred for e.g. HP Sauce rather than what appeared to be a sachet of cheap brown sauce that did not taste as expected. Other sauces seemed similar, only possible decent standard of condiment would be the Sarsons vinegar. Although, not sure the bottle was topped other cheaper brand.
There was a desert menu of around 7 items, for e.g. Rhubarb Crumble, Apple pie etc.
I would have loved one but was to full.
All in all recommended, but best to book I believe if for a Sunday in particular.
