The hotel was a good price for what you got the outside and foyer was well managed, clean and modern. Check in was great as were there early and we had driven for 5 hours we were able to access our room early too which was a bonus. The staff were very friendly. Front desk is closed for lunch so we would have had to wait until after lunch to book in.
Anyway the room was clean and over all modern. Although there was a faint smell to the room a little like smelly socks. And the walls are very thin. As on a couple of occasions the couple in the next room were a little noisy ont heir bed. The breakfast is up to 11am so loads of time to wake up and take your time. Its continental and no waiting service, so help yourself and try and keep the area tidy,Which people did. It was very relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed our 2 days there.

Room Tip: we had a great veiw of the playing fields at the back. Nice and quiet.

I dont normally write reviews on here, but this B&B is worth a mention. We stopped for 3 nights and had a great break. The service we received from the staff was extreamly friendly and very helpful, answering questions about the local area knowing good places to go and eat.
The self service breakfast was lovely and the coffee machine in the breakfast area being available all day was a bonus.
We would recommend the metro to anyone looking for a nice clean friendly B&B, one thing to mention is its about a 25 min walk to the main area of town, but that didn't bother us.

we got a great out of season deal through their website and for this reason alone we were prepared for whatever awaited us. what did await was a quick and easy check in and plenty of parking out front and a pleasant looking main reception room. the girls on reception were brilliant, lots of info about the area and ideas about what to do, where to go etc. our room (number 4) was ok by us. a double and single bed, tv, kettle, hairdryer etc.... the bathroom was very small but functional and the shower was hot and strong, which is all you can ask for really. the location is a fair walk away from town but that wasn't an issue for us. breakfast was good: cereal, yoghurt, fruit, breads and pastries. and plenty of tea and coffee (which you can help yourself to at any time). breakfast was available until 11.00am, so good if you've had a heavy night.
overall, we were very happy with what we got for our money and the folks were spoke to during our time in the area seemed equally impressed when we shared out story. the down points for us were 1. the room had a slightly damp smell, which was a little off putting and 2. you could hear quite a lot through the walls. we were there midweek and off season so not a problem for us but i imagine at busy times, this might be a bit of as issue if you are after a good and sound nights sleep.
would we go back again? yes, i think we would.

Not your typical seaside b & b, and that's good. Good size rooms , parking and a good nights sleep.the self service breakfast worked for me. The check in was fast and friendly and good value at £49.00.
Not to sure about the location, quite a walk from the centre.the room should be worth more and my overall mark would have been higher but for the poor condition of the bathroom.cracked pan , rusty shower rail and a shower valve that looked like it had come from a car boot sale !!! Great place to sleep if on business, not so good for a weekend away
