This garden is pretty amazing. The maple trees are excellent. The sound of running water follows you around the garden. It was quite difficult to find, not very well signposted and difficult to park but was most definitely worth it.
Although small, this garden is really lovely, tranquil and well cared for. The lady from whom we bought our tickets was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't recommend a visit when it is likely to be busy, due to the small overall area. I hope the present owners, who are relatively new to the garden, are able to build up trade and perhaps add a tea room and certainly toilets ( we had to go out and use the public loos a short walk away). We would love to revisit in the spring and wish the owners well.
I was disappointed by the gardens. They were rather untidy even accepting it is autumn. The few statues and bamboo plants tried to create the Japanese feel but did not quite make it happen for me
set in a very nice village and well sign posted lots to see it needs a tea room it has a good shop and free car park..
Beautiful and tranquil. I would love to come here and see it through the season changes. It took about an hour to get around, lots if seating areas in different places to just sit and chill. If you want a bonsai tree I would recommend this place. The shop also has some nice things in it. The only down points there are no toilets, although some very close. There is also not a cafe. Come on guys you would make a killing.
Beautiful gardens styled in typical Japanese style. Gorgeous water features and lovely lay out. Can’t wait to come back in the summer when the blossoms are out!!!!
