Saw this cafe on trip advisor so though we would give it a go. Well the cafe is a little quirky and the food was great but the milkshakes are a must . The dime bar and peanut butter one we had was out of this world go give it a try. also the cafe is dog freindly.

We parked up at Newquay for a day and as it was hot needed a quick stop for a cold drink. This was the ideal place, I would describe the place as looking 'trendy', full of arty looking people which include the staff.

The guy serving us (sorry forgot his name) was from London and was a delight. As we were lost he was happy to share his knowledge of which bit of Newquay we were in (think of London he said - this is Camden) and how to get to other bits (Oxford Street was further up).

We both had some freshly squeezed juice and an enormous vegetarian Nachos (the waitress sang as a song as she served this ' so nacho' to the tune of 'so macho' which we couldn't even finish. The service wasn't massively speedy however as we were happy to sit on one of the tables outside and people watch this was absolutely fine.

Perfect for a lazy stop off however I imagine this gets busy evenings and weekends.

Visiting Newquay, at 9pm we discovered that there was a waiting time of one hour for food in a nearby good food pub so we left and as we passed this Cafe we rather liked the ambience of the place and decided to take a chance.

On entering, we asked a pleasant waitress if they were still serving food and she said yes, find yourselves a table over there, which we did.

There was a 'DJ' playing really good quality music which was enjoyable and not too loud; just about right to allow for conversation.

The menu was adequate and pleasingly among the beers was a local Cornish Ale.
My wife had the 'Classic' Burger while I had a chicken Caesar salad and both were enjoyable and excellent value at about £14 for the two.

The staff were a "breath of fresh air"; there was no big deal about anything!

Just the way it should be.

The family and I had lunch here, what a fabulous find. It was tasty, very tasty, and all with great service and a chilled out atmosphere.

The smoothies are a must, loaded with fruit!!
