“Wonderful setting, service, food and marvellous staff”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is everything you need and is set in the most perfect surroundings. The service and the food are second to none. The hotel is worth more than its 3 star rating. Very comfortable rooms and communal areas. The staff are excellent and they can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. I would like to especially mention Paul who was the first member of staff we encountered and is a great asset to the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We will definitely return very soon.

Travelled down to Newquay for my sisters wedding. All the family went and all their needs were different. We went with my daughter son in law and grandchildren so a villa was needed. When we walked into the villa we were impressed with the size of the villa and the outlay. Some of the family only needed hotel rooms and they were just as impressed with that as we were with our villa. A lot of money has been spent on the design of this place and it has been worth it. If only we had had the weather and it would have been perfect this was something that the hotel could have not have given us but the only thing that was not great. Well done Porth Veor would recommend your hotel and villas without hesitation.

Lovely large clean room, excellent food and service always happy to help. Very helpful and friendly staff, expecially Paul who took care of anything we needed and also had good knowledge of the local aera which was a real big help as we are from Nottingham and have never visited this area before. Overall the stay at the hotel was excellent and we will be retunring soon. Thanks Porth Veor and Thanks Paul for a great stay

Home now from a 3 night stay in the hotel room 29. Large room as previously stated, on the 2nd floor and no lift, lovely bathroom with nice modern fixtures and fittings. The stairs did get a bit much after coming and going a few times. Lovely conservatory to sit in and enjoy the views, with the wind howling outside it was really warm bright and cosy. The restaurant menu was very expensive, however there was an early bird deal available at £14.99 for 2 courses ( think this is correct ) but you had to order by 6.45pm, i asked if this was flexible and was told NO. so we went out and Ate and drank in Newquay. What a shame the hotel couldn't provide a bar menu or similar, and then we would have stayed and ate there with our friends. Most people wouldn't want a slap up expensive meal every night, and with only a handful of people in the restaurant , i guess most people did what we did and spent they're money elsewhere. All in all it was a good hotel, with good service ( apart from the food issue ) and we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Unless you want a luxury dinner at luxury prices every night eat elsewhere .

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. It is always useful to help us try to provide the best possible guest experience.

It is disappointing you felt that you couldn't eat at the hotel as we have consistently received positive feedback both for the service we provide, the standard of the food and the value we offer.

Our early bird menu is available from 6 pm until 7 pm at present and we adjust the availability depending on the time of year. From 7 pm, our seasonally changing A La Carte menu is available up until 9 pm with a 3 course option including coffee priced at just £29.95, which is an extremely popular choice among many of our guests. Each course is individually priced to ensure those with smaller appetites or looking for a lighter meal are not limited in their choices.

With regards to our bar menu, we serve food in the bar from 12 pm until 5 pm everyday in an effort to provide a range of tempting dishes at prices that are affordable and appeal to our broad customer base.

I hope that next time you are visiting Porth you come back to try the fantastic food that we offer here at Porth Veor Manor.

This is a fab, well equipped, spacious apartment. It was beautifully clean with extremely warm/easy to use underfloor heating . It's in a great location. The staff are friendly and helpful. Cannot fault this as a holiday rental

Room Tip: poolside apartment was gorgeous. underfloor heating better to be left on 24 hrs as slow to heat/cool

Booked a weekend away with laterooms.com. location superb.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Newquay by Porth beach so away from hurly burly but close enough to access if required. Gorgeous walks close by, and only 3miles to Jamie Olivers Fifteen restaurant at Watergate bay. Less than 30 miles to St.Ives and the surrounds. We visited in March and this is the only hotel we've been in recently where the heating controls work!
Hotel clean and bright, lounge, bar and restaurant pleasant with huge conservatories.
Our room ( 23) was small but had everything we needed.
Breakfast was fine with cooked options available.
The grounds looked lovely with a small pool, but it was too cold to try them out!!
Would recommend this hotel

Hi just back from a two night stay 22/3/2012. The hotel is lovely the staff are very friendly and always pleased to help. Our room 29 was large and spotlessly clean as were all the areas of the hotel. The hotel is only 3 star but feels like more the only possible drawback is the lack of facilities. It does have an outdoor pool but not for me in march. Porth is lovely but not much to do, newquay is a nice walk away just over a mile. All in all a lovely break and some beautiful walks. We hadn't booked evening meals but ate there on the Friday last minute, staff were happy to help. Food very nice if a bit pricey but that's supply and demand as not much else around.

Room Tip: We had 29 not a sea view but very large
