“Something to Pass the Time”

Visited here while on holiday in June, had been before when it was Tunnels Through Time, so thought would give it a go with it having a re-vamp. Some of the displays are the same as before but there are also some new stuff in there as well. We didn't have to wait long to get in and where in a group of 8 people. You go through 8 areas all with a different scene to how pirate/smuggler life was. Kids are able to do a map throughout the tour and get a prize at the end of it. At one point you are able to make a choice on which direction you can go, if you have little kids you can choose to miss out the sunken village of the damned, or if brave enough you can go through it. Our little one went through and enjoyed it. Enjoyed it and will probably visit again when in Newquay

“Captain Sack Barrow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

We went here for my Stag Do, dressed as Pirates. Really was first class. The actors were awesome and made it really fun. It has information, jokes and a few scares. They really can accomodate for any age range or party. Very entertaining.
I will definately visit again when down in Newquay.
Sorry for the late review (I went in June 2012).
The one thing I would say is that the exit would have been better if it went straight into the gift shop (To help marketting/sales of gifts).

“Not good for very young children.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

This may be appealing to boys from about 8 to 13 but it's a bit pathetic, compared to most attractions. A guy, dressed up as a pirate, takes the group around & gabbles on, so fast, that it is difficult to understand what he is on about. We were rushed around so quickly that we had no time to read all the signs & history, that were displayed. It would have been better to have gone around on our own & read all about it. We like to learn about things & felt cheated not being allowed the time. There is an area that would be frightening, for very young children, so best avoided. He did give the option to some people with young children, but they decided to try it & the kids were terrified. It's not worth the money, as the exhibits are not very realistic & we were through in less than half an hour.

“Good fun for all the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

We all enjoyed this, with the pirates making it a lot of fun.

Lots of scary moments, I jumped more than the children, and lots of jokes for young and old from good scripts and better ad libbing. Learnt a few bits too!

Definitely worth a visit.
