Visited Lappa Valley on 23/06/14 for our daughters 3rd birthday. Despite it being a super hot day the park wasn't packed. We didn't have to pay for our daughter either as they never questioned her age...result!

Obviously the ridiculous ban on taking kids out of school is having a huge impact on the park but this was to our advantage. We could use the canoe boats as and when we liked, the play park was empty as was the trains. Not sure how this would be during the school holidays?! Didn't play golf but it looked quite empty. Cream tea was fantastic but because it was so hot the under cover seating area was like a greenhouse! Maybe they could add parasols to the tables in the outdoor eating area. Also the slides in the play area were very hot. Loo facilities were clean, staff were very helpful and happy too!

All in all a good day out!

We visited Lappa Valley on 5 July after initial doubts over the price which seemed a bit pricey (although we did get a discount voucher in a Cornwall attractions magazine). I'm so glad we visited as it really is a great day out and well worth the money if you stay a while an
as we did (almost five hours!). We got the first train of the day from the ticket office up to the valley so got to find our way around while it was still relatively quiet. For your admission you can ride on the miniature trains as many times as you like, play crazy golf, use the boating pond, pedal cars and all the play areas. There are indoor play areas although as it was such lovely weather we didn't use these much. There are various places to picnic if you prefer this over using the cafe. We had lunch in the cafe which was very nice. My only niggle would be that the service was very slow indeed and they had run out of a number of things by the time we ordered at 1.20pm the waitress saying that they hadn't been expecting it to be so busy which seems an oversight for a sunny July weekend! But that was the only criticism of the whole day which was otherwise pretty perfect. The staff were all very pleasant and we will be returning next summer without a doubt. I would say this is ideal for children about two years and up. Our almost three years old would have stayed longer I am sure. The place is extremely well thought out and a credit to the staff/management. My advice would be get there early on a good weather day and make the most of a great tourist attraction.

This is essentially an enormous play park with three trains, one of which is steam the others electric. A boating lake and loads of outdoor play areas, really good value, a brilliant day

So nice that places like this exist, we had such a lovely time so cute that u start at one place & then get a steam train to an almost 'secret' valley. Little ones enjoyed it great afternoon would highly recommend!
