Trevornick Holiday Park
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed September 15, 2011

We stayed at Trevornick in August and had a fab time - as always! My 5 month old niece also enjoyed herself and smiled the whole time.
The Eurotent could not be faulted, everything you could possibly need for a holiday in a field. The toilets were lovely and clean and every shower I had was lovely and hot even when I went at the busier times. We didn't really go downstairs in the Farm Club as we had my niece with us and prefer a quieter evening but we did go in to the Sports Bar every night and enjoyed a chat and a drink in the relaxing and comfortable bar.
We have been coming to Trevornick for over 20 years and in our opinion it just gets better and better and having stayed at other campsites in Newquay this is the best by far and we have already booked for next year and we can't wait!

We have been to Trevornick 8 years on the trot and every time the holidays have been fantastic especially if you get the weather too! Out of the 8 years coming to the site we have had one that it rained everyday but as my husband had an appendectomy the day before we arrived it was fine as we were limited to what we could do as regards swimming and surfing so it still ended up being a great holiday but more relaxing at the tent for that year. There is so much you can do at the site in the way of entertainment and facilities that you don't even have to leave the campsite if you don't want to but on the doorstep is so much you can do if you want to travel around :). The site and facilities are extremely clean and the staff really friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. The only downside is that the restaurant food and drinks are rather pricey so we didn't eat out but tended to have meals/drinks at the campsite. We have made a great many friends over the years so now we all book for the same fortnight in the same area and have some great evenings together. Well done Trevornick and see you all again in 2012.

Had a fantastic time at the campsite. Eurotents are brilliant. Site is very clean. Entertainment good and views to die for as the sun goes down! Bathrooms blocks very clean and water always piping hot. Your kids will love it here! Holywell Bay beach is beautiful, miles of golden sand and great waves to enjoy.

Only criticism is the local pub on the beach called 'The Piran's Inn', give this a miss unless you like rude staff and sub-standard food. Beware of the Yorkshire puddings - they can break your teeth!

We have just returned from our stay at Trevornick in one of their Eurotents. We would recommend this site to everyone as it really does deserve the 5 stars it holds. The toilets were always clean, excellent family bathrooms available with either showers or full baths, beautiful grounds and great facilities. Views from the Eurotent area across the site, golf course and sand dunes were fantastic. The area the Eurotents are situated is perfect but you get more and more room between tents the higher you go up - the areas are tiered with 4 tents in each hedged section. Great if you want to holiday with groups of friends as loads of room for kids to play and to sit out in the evening.
Holywell Bay is nearby as is fantastic but will cost £3-£5 per day to park. There is a pub called St Pirans Inn right at the beginning of the sand dunes - DO NOT EAT THERE!!! The food, especially the roast dinners, are totally awful. The landlady is very rude and aggressive. There is another pub up the road which doesnt have the same kerb side appeal but is much much friendlier and better.
We will definitely be returning to Trevornick in the future.

What a fantastic holiday park! We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked to go again next year before we even left this year! The park has generous sized pitches that are clearly marked. The toilet and shower facilities were always very clean, and the showers always hot. There is a well stocked shop, snack bar, eating establishment called the "Hungry Horse" which served good food, hire shop that had everything from fridges, microwaves, bikes to wet suits and body boards, play area for the kids, outdoor heated pools, spa, fishing, club house, golf course plus an amusement/theme park for adults and kids. Here you could play crazy golf, go go karting, plus lots of other great rides. The views of the coast line are stunning. Holywell Bay is beautiful with a fantastic beach, which is well kept, clean and has excellent lifeguards and is in walking distance of the holiday park. There is also parking available in Holywell Bay near to the beach costing around £3 to £5 for the day - most reasonable. There are also two great pubs in Holywell Bay which we would highly recommend visiting. We can't wait to go back!!

Room Tip: The pitch sizes are very generous and well marked out. The toilet and shower blocks were always ver...

We stayed here for two weeks, in very mixed weather.
We only tend to stay in the higher quality campsites, and Trevornick did not disappoint.
Spotless & well-kept grounds were a pleasant aspect. Showers were hot (& free) and cleaned regularly, as were the toilets (cleaned, that is, not hot!).
Staff were friendly & helpful.
Swimming pool was very nice & scrupulously clean. Could have done with a few more sunloungers & some sunshades, but otherwise the pool area was great.
Organised entertainment is not for us, but there were many families who appeared to really enjoy what was on offer.
Ate in the restaurant, but found the food disappointing. Even more so the lack of local provenance in the food and complete lack of Cornish Ales (despite advertising them). On the night we ate there, the only "beer" on offer in the restaurant were weak, tasteless lager. Cola was from a pump & was revolting. Waiting staff were pleasant.
Bar was nice - clean, with friendly staff, although pricey. One beer, a gin & tonic plus two kids' soft drinks came to just under £10.
My only other negative comments are to do with the slope of the pitch & recycling arrangements.
Our pitch was so severely sloping that plates slid off our table, tomatoes rolled off our plates, & I spent each night gripping the edge of my airbed, trying hard not to roll onto my husband & smother him to death! Ok in a caravan, when you can add blocks to level up, but in a tent - disastrous!
Most pitches seemed fairly level except the super-pitches at our (far) end (pitches 530-onwards).
Rubbish was taken away regularly, but the only recycling facilities were near the central buildings, so most people didn't bother. It would have been nice to see recycling facilities at each rubbish point.
So, a couple of negatives, but despite that, I would still say this us an excellent site, with great & clean facilities & I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it. Would happily stay again (on a less sloping pitch).

Booked a super pitch for 13th - 20th August. Well organised with the guys on mopeds showing you to your pitch.
Found the pitch to be very small compared to other sites we've stayed. There was not enough room to sit outside the awning with the car parked there, there are parking spaces for you to use but unfortunately it was busy so ours had to stay by the caravan. The 1st night after setting up we had a takeaway from the shop on the site 2 adult meals & 2 kids meals £19.00 that was not including drinks or any thing else, very expensive & not very nice, I had a veggie burger & never seen any thing like it before it was grosse!!! Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control we could only stay for a few days & had to leave on Tuesday. I had purchased fun fair token & a fishing token when i booked the holiday but as we had to go home I tried to get a refund on them as they had not been used, this wasn't to be they said they would try & sell them & our pitch if they could then I could have my money back, which to be honest how would I know , we did get a phone call to say they hadn't sold our tokens a week later, but whose to say I would of thought with all the children there it wouldn't of been a problem, they already had the money from our pitch which had been booked for a week & it is expensive there. The pool was quite small & people were jammed in like sardines. Yes the toilets were spotless & the shower water was nice & hot unfortunately that was the only plus points. We've tried it there & it wasn't to our liking, you never know until you try but we won't be going back.
