We have been coming to the Headland Hotel for many year, staying in the cottages and hotel itself. This time we booked a 4 night weekend stay bed and breakfast. The room was lovely, very clean and nicely decorated. The room was at the front of the hotel, but we could still see the sea from our window. The only downside was that on one night they had a wedding and the wedding party woke me up in the early hours when they were leaving. The breakfast is amazing, plenty of choice, the only thing was that the staff in the restaurant seem very slow on topping up the food and drinks when they are running low, one morning all the orange juice had gone, I told a member of staff who said it was on it's way, but after 20 minutes waiting for it I gave up. The hotel has invested a lot of money into the pool and spa area which is lovely, but be warned outside school holidays the pool is restricted for children to use.
We enjoyed our stay at the Headland and hope to return again, I just feel that it is changing to cater more for an adult only spa/conference/wedding hotel and think that families will be slowly pushed out, which is a real shame.More
