Firstly have to say the Bay Bar is a bit of a hidden gem. We were on our way to The Lewinnik, recommended by at least 3 taxi drivers during our stay in Newquay, deciding to make the most of surprisingly pleasant day we were walking. Obviously it decided to chuck it down. We saw a sign saying Non residents welcome and pegged it up the drive way. We asked at reception if we could pop in and have a drink until the rain stopped and the receptionist, Charlie I think, said it would be no probs, have a cocktail! so we did.
There was a Jazz Duo playing, amazing. Ordered some drinks, amazing French guy, Albert? I think, twisted our arm for a cocktail....fantastic! The rest is history!
From start to finish (much, much later) a brilliant time. Ordered food, burger and hotdog, both were gorgeous to look at and delicious. Spent the whole night chatting to the bar staff as they plied us with ever more interesting drinks, well done Justin for managing such an eclectic, but well rounded team.
