We spent a lovely afternoon at Fistral Beach. The beach itself is clean despite dogs being allowed on there. Ideal for those that want to relax, build a sand castle, play beach games and body board / surf. There were plenty of life guards which was reassuring as it was the first time we had tried body boarding. Great fun.
BE WARNED though. We parked at the Tower Road car park which was a good 10 mins walk from the beach through the golf course and bought a car parking ticket. We arrived back with about a minute to spare to the car. loaded up and then my husband started to chat the owner of VW van that had bikes on it and my husband loves bikes. then my son decided that he needed the toilet so we ended up leaving 21 mins after our parking had officially run out and we got a £60 fine. They have parking eye car park management.Yes technically we were over but there were loads of spaces available we had paid our £4.80, we were back at the right time and never thought that a friendly chat in the car park would cost us so much. It had never crossed our minds to go back and top up the extra 20 mins. A very expensive afternoon at the beach
