“5* B & B”
Reviewed June 1, 2011

Thanks Julie,
The Guesthouse is very clean, close to town center and has everything you'll need on your vacation.
We enjoyed our stay at this very friendly B&B and I would recommend it to all my friends and will use it again when going back to Newquay.
The breakfast was great and the rooms are very modern and comfortable.Private parking as well and this is a must in a place like Newquay.

Don't think twice just book it .....

Stayed 3 nights during a Devon/Cornwall tour. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast. Quiet location. Charming owners. Visited Port Isaac and saw filming of an episode of Doc Martin. Excellent choice and value.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived. The room was clean with modern decor. Julie's cooked breakfast every morning was the perfect start to the day. Very impressed, would put most hotels to shame. Sean & Jennie

Having stayed in dozens of B&Bs and hotels in and around the Newquay area this is definitely one that we will return to.

Impeccably clean and tidy. Julie and Jim are excellent hosts. They are there to help when you need it but do not intrude making for a comfortable, relaxed environment.

The price was spot on. In the current financial climate Julie and Jim should be applauded for providing a first rate service at a reasonable cost.

Breakfast was lovely and parking available to the front of the property. Look forward to staying again! Cheers.

Hi there! My wife and I went to Newquay for a 4 day honeymoon break in October this year. After searching online and sending a few quote requests I got a very friendly e-mail from Julie from Thegarthen Guesthouse. She was very kind and professional from the first e-mail to the last goodbye. With a quick 5-10 minute stroll to the town centre, the Thegarthen is perfectly located and surrounded by amazing views with Port beach just 2 minutes walk from our room. Julie takes pride in her AMAZING full english breakfast (which she cooks herself!!!) and likes to make sure you are ready for a long day's exploring etc. She is also willing to take special request for other dietary needs. The room was cleaned everyday and she even decorated the room with rose petals and really went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one! Already planning our next trip to Thegarten! Thanks a lot Julie!
