This restaurant has been a great favourite for me and my family for many years. I have usually thought there is something special about the cooking there and particularly like that there is always a good variety of fresh vegetables in their vegetable dishes and that the vegetables are cooked just right and not overcooked. We go there every couple of months and have takeaways very frequently. However last time we went there (a week last Sunday) it was a great disappointment. Two of the three dishes that we had were 10 times as hot as normal and one of them was just not edible (and we like hot curries). When we told the waiter nothing was deducted from our bill although that dish was uneaten. If it had been the usual staff they would have realised there was something wrong but the waiter didn't know us. I should hve made a fuss but didn't.
Also the prices have jumped up by £1 a dish and now that you can only get Cobra or Kingfisher there it costs £4 for a pint of beer. As well as this there was much less variety of vegetables - mainly cauli and cabbage so I felt we had an expensive (for Indian) crap meal and had been so looking forward to it. I might have to think about changing my allegiance. I'm noticing there are a few bad reviews recently
