Description: Lusty Glaze Tripadvisor Beautiful brunches, leisurely lunches, cosy coffees and seaside suppers... Lusty Glaze Beach Restaurant is nestled just a short walk from the centre of Newquay, on the North Cornish coast. Come rain or shine Lusty Glaze serves up freshly cooked and locally-sourced culinary delights in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. With a beautiful menu specially created for each season, as well as some rather tasty specials and the ever popular Hot Rocks, this beachfront dinning experience is not to be missed. On a warm evening, it's easy to forget you're still in Cornwall! As well as hosting weddings and our legendary Headliner Sessions, we also hold a free live music evenings featuring some of our favourite local artists. Spanning a range of different genres, these nights are always special, as everyone relaxes and unwinds, glass of wine in hand, soaking up the atmosphere. And even with a focus on top-notch food, it is still very likely that your chairs won't match, your spoon and fork may be different patterns and your waiter will be wearing flip flops... after all, we are still the laid back family-friendly restaurant that we always have been!

“Varied menu dependant on daily catch”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

The food here is amazing, the special board was different each day dependant on what was caught that morning. I recommend the swordfish steak. The food was reasonably priced. The restaurant was always busy and full but we never felt rushed when we were dining. One slight downside is that we felt their choice of puddings were quite limited, but at the end of the day we were there for the seafood, not pudding. Location wise it is a bit of a challenge to access if you have a disability or restricted movement as there was over 130 steps down to it. I highly recommend this establishment.

“Mixed-Overall Very Good”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Great location, nice setting and good varied menu. We were two families with 2 young children.
Food was mixed, we had several different starters and they were very tasty, so I was looking forward to the special my friend and I ordered. Thai Curry, I have to say it was very bland, my friend agreed. The rest of the mains were good as were deserts. I would go back, primarily for the location and in the hope all the dishes we order next time are as good as the starters.

“little beauty”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

fantastic location, and what a great set up. we arrived on the end of their beach rugby tournament and although busy we still got to the bar and really enjoyed the band and firework display. very child and dog friendly. we returned two days later for a sundowner session....very chilled atmosphere with good artists playing and paella cooking on the beach. really nice up on the balcony later with the patio heaters and candles going. only one proviso...if you want to eat ;book well in advance and don't expect a huge choice on the menu

“First class”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

Me and my husband came here for our 2nd wedding anniversary. Everything about this restaurant is top class. The service was quick, staff were friendly and polite.

The food is fresh and delicious. The menu is limited, but I presume this is to focus on quality, which they certainly do. If you order steak, you get to cook it on a hot volcanic slab, if I went again, I would try the steak.

The best thing about this place is the view overlooking the sea and the beach. Every seat in the restaurant , had a good view.
