“Standard seaside food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

I have travelled and surfed Newquay for the past 6 years, the fistral Chef has always been our preferred breakfast stop, this year however..... Shocking! First of all the service is quick and very friendly, the girl behind the till always brings a cheeky midland twang and smile to my day, but the breakfast prices have risen and the standards have dropped, I paid over £7.50 for breakfast with coffee and the toast was soft and cold, beans tasted cheap, the scrambled egg was actually fantastic and the sausages were under cooked and cheap.

We visited twice this weekend just gone, first time dire, but thought it was a blip, next day was the same standard, so not a one off,

I don't like giving bad reviews, but if I pay for a service I expect good food.

Shame, as this cafe was amazing back in the day!

“A great welcome & fab food”

A really great atmosphere with a lot of attention paid to our 15 month old toddler friend! The waitress was lovely, the food was really good & very reasonable price wise. A great little find, highly recommended.

“Biggest and best breakfast ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

Whilst holidaying in Newquay, I would go to Fistral Chef for my breakfasts. They were very sizeable, but cheap considering the amount you're given. Tasty food and lovely, welcoming staff. Very happy with each individual visit!

“Best breakfast?!?!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2012

We ordered full english after reading rave reviews but were bitterly disappointed. The sausages were the equivalent to Walls (yuk) and the bacon was cheap and nasty. Where was the value for money? The coffee was rather bland and the seating was uncomfortable inside so we ended up sitting on a dirty bench outside facing the wall of a building and listening to very noisy traffic. Definitely more like Little Chef than Fistral Chef.
