We ate the steak and ale pie and one cod special. All the meat lean, no gristle, tasty well-seasoned gravy. The cod perfectly cooked with an well balanced caper butter. Vegetables cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and decorations. One of the minor criticisms is hand cut fries/chips would make it perfect.

As we where staying in Holywell bay and the reviews seemed good we decided to eat here. It's pretty much unmissable as it's on the way to the beach. It's a really great location, inside is nice and has a great atmosphere with a good selection of drinks and drinks.

It was a little disappointing that the food let the place down and was very average. I had burger and chips, the burger was okay but nothing special. The chips where awful, frozen chips fried in oil that was old and probably used for onion rings. It's a real shame the food doesn't do the place or some the reviews justice.

Fantastic meals, we ate in The Pirans Inn 4 nights out of the 7 we stayed at Monkey Tree caravan park, we were a group of 8, 4 adults and 4 children 2 of 14 a 9 year old and a 7 year old
and we all loved the food and very friendly staff who went out of there way to make sure we were all happy with our food, the older girls had adult meals and the young ones kids meals, on one visit the boy wanted meatballs so the chef split an adult one between them without any prompting from us. The bar staff were so good with all our requests it was a joy to eat there each night. Good luck in the future from all in Oxford
