Fantastic meals, we ate in The Pirans Inn 4 nights out of the 7 we stayed at Monkey Tree caravan park, we were a group of 8, 4 adults and 4 children 2 of 14 a 9 year old and a 7 year old
and we all loved the food and very friendly staff who went out of there way to make sure we were all happy with our food, the older girls had adult meals and the young ones kids meals, on one visit the boy wanted meatballs so the chef split an adult one between them without any prompting from us. The bar staff were so good with all our requests it was a joy to eat there each night. Good luck in the future from all in Oxford

The meals are dearer and not so varied, although its a good stopping off place to and from the Beach to quench your thirst.

We were staying in watergate bay and wanted a dog friendly pub to have dinner at one night. I did a quick google search and found st pirens inn. The staff were lovely, the two girls on the bar made a real fuss of our dog, which he loved. The food was lovely, simple pub food cooked well- great! I had the meatballs, very tasty. What really made our night was Harry! What a character! If you need somewhere to eat that's dog friendly, people friendly and good value try st pirens inn.

We came here twice with our 3 teenage sons during our week in holywell bay. The 1st night I had scampi and I have to agree with another reviewer that being that close to the sea I expected more. It was very bland. Two of our boys had meatballs and spaghetti which came with garlic bread. On our 2nd visit 2 of us had steak. Being rump steak I feared it may be tough but it was cooked to perfection (medium). It would be nice to see a couple of extra choices, the boys like pasta but the spaghetti was the only option, maybe a lasagne or chicken pasta?. The staff were very friendly and recommended dessert dishes to us. We are hoping to return to holywell bay next year and a visit to st pirans is definitely on.

Thank you for your kind review about the pub and the food that we serve and I'm glad you enjoyed your meal, as for the children's menu there are 6 meals to choose from which are all cooked fresh to order, but during the 6 week school holidays we are so busy that it is really hard to do any more, we do however mix it up once the August holidays are over. As for the scampi we do buy this item in and have no control over the size of them, each portion is around 10 scampi if they are small we add a few more, but I don't know of any pub that does not use the same type of scampi that we use, it is of good quality. As for being beside the sea, we do have fresh fish on the specials board. Every day our suppliers come to us from Matthew Stephens, but when cooking over 200 meals a day it is hard to make sure that it is cook perfect and reaches you how it should do, which is why we have a limited specials board during this time. Look forward to seeing you next year.
