A good chinese meal is one of our favourite treats. The Orient in Nequay is very easy to find and has limited parking at the front of the restaurant. My wife is quite severely disabled so parking is quite a crucial aspect to our choices of venue. When we visited the Orient, we were lucky and one parking slot was available - had it not been, it appeared that no other parking was close by as this establishment is located outside of the main town and on a main road. Having resolved the parking problem, access to the restaurant proved to be quite tricky. A small step through the front door was difficult eough and we had to enter backwards (nothing unusual there), but large plants had been placed immediately inside the door and they had to be moved for us to be able to enter. Thereafter, access was OK - level throughout with several tables that accept a wheelchair with plenty of space to manouver. There is not a disabled toilet on the premises and the only available loo necessitated a single step - not possible for my wife. This might seem minor to most, but this restricts the amount we can drink and how long we can stay on site. Moving on to the food and general atmosphere. The food was great. Plenty of choice for me and my wife who is a strict vegetarian. The food was served hot and plenty of it. The staff were great - very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. A very good venue and with minor adaptions would rate very highly I'm sure for disabled patrons.
