Thank you for taking the time to leave us some great feedback. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the beautiful views and the walks we have here. Thanks again for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon!
We stayed at Newquay view for 2 years , the first year was really good and the site seemed reasonably organised, the site seemed to loose it's way, cleaning of the toilet blocks went downhill with smears on the walls etc that should not of been there but would be there for days, sometimes weeks, the staff on site spend their evenings at the bar, this would not be an issue but they would get extremely drunk and be very loud in a holiday camp clubhouse that they work at so represent, one of the people who is in their most nights and is usually extremely drunk can be seen driving around the site the next day on a golf buggy with potential customers as passengers, their are rules of no single male/female groups this is not followed and at one point we had to call he police whilst a fight was taking place between 2 people which scared my children as it was a nice sunny Sunday afternoon on a family campsite, no apologies from the management of the site, I had money taken from my bank accounttwice a number if times, when I asked about this I was told it wasn't them as their finance department said so, spoke to my bank, they had no idea and would investigate but it would take an amount of time, a few days later the money reappeared on investigation of my own it was the sites card machine at fault, once again no apology, another issue is the people that live in the port valley retreat and the way they drive, there is a speed limit of 5mph for a reason, on many occasions you could see people driving a lot faster than this, more in the region of 30+ mph, one evening we were walking back from the club house and one of those residents drive past the toilet blocks at speed overtook a turning caravan and missed my wife and child by millimetres. The same man in the same car overtook us on the single track road and even jumped the small bank as we were observing the speed limit, this issue is not just the residents bit the staff in the Newquay view vans and even the surf school bus, PLEASE keep a close eye on your children on bikes etc near these roads as the driving on site is very dangerous and an accident waiting to happen, last year when the boardmasters festival was on there was additional security brought in, this resulted in a security guard shouting to put your F#@×ing wristband on, not acceptable even more so that we had no idea as seasonal pitch caravaners we were not told about these bands, there is an on site security man who just drives around in his car and ignores everything that is going on so a complete waste of time, the only thing that was good about the site was the entertainment team both our yrars there they were a credit to the site amongst all the other goings on, the bar is slow to serve but the good is nice, so on conclusion be careful here with your children as it's very unsafe and don't expect issues sorted very quickly if ever, everything within this review was reported to reception over the course of our time there and in an email when we left in January with a request each time that the manager would call or email us we are still waiting for that call or email to rectify the issues or apologise but we are still waiting.
Thank you for your review, I do believe we have spoken prior to this. The manager has left the company and has not passed anything on to us. We appreciate you having spent two years here with us and we do hope to see you again in the future.
After three years of seasonal touring, this mismanaged site has decided to stop seasonal touring with one months notice.
The site has been in decline for the time we had been there, despite a new toilet block being built, it hasn’t been maintained, it’s cleanliness is questionable.
Certain members of staff are ignorant to customers requests. The new owners, Aria resorts deserve to fail in their quest to monopolise the tourist industry in this beautiful area of Cornwall.
If you book with this corporation, expect to be treated as a number, and only that.
You would be far better off spending your hard earned money with a local family run site, more deserving of your remuneration, than a corporate sponge.
Book at your risk.
Thank you for your review, I do believe we have spoken prior to this. We do understand your frustration although there was a clear understanding of this in your seasonal booking terms. We also did all we could to try and find another seasonal pitch for you, we appreciate you having spent three years here with us and we do hope to see you again in the future.
Just come back from a weeks stay in a caravan at Newquay view. This is our second stay.
The caravan was clean and well prepared for our arrival. Came across a lovely lady called Irene who was happy to go above and beyond to help make sure we had everything we needed and was really good with my son. Couldn’t fault her.
The cooker took an hour and a half to cook chips in the oven and that’s possibly the only bad thing I have to say.
The bar staff were enthusiastic and polite and apologetic when we had waited a minimal amount of time.
There were always prizes stocked in the 2p machines, there’s a pool table, dogs are welcome.
Prizes to be won from tickets are not too hard to achieve and not as bad as some we have been in.
Food in the venue on our first night was ok,
I had burger and chips which was pretty standard but food much improved when we had our Sunday lunch which was gorgeous. My veggie friend said it was the best Sunday lunch she had EVER HAD because she was spoilt for choice and it was delicious too.
Entertainment was ok for what we saw. My son wasn’t interested unfortunately but I did stay for bingo. It is quiet compared to other caravan venue sites which we prefer but entertainment isn’t as entertaining sorry :(
Pool was clean and staff there were friendly when we spoke to them. There is a steam and sauna room but sadly the steam room wasn’t working.
The pool could do with some more fun activities for children though. Maybe a game in the diary? Or a slide? There were floats free to use which was good but it is on the small side as two lanes were out of use for lessons and we got bored quite quickly.
Pool cafe was looked good, we didn’t eat there but we had drinks and again staff were lovely and very accommodating.
Shop on site was good for a few drop in bits and staff were lovely. My son decided he wanted to make a robot as we had a rainy day and staff were happy to dig out lots of boxes and bits we could recycle which made my sons day.
Overall, We really enjoyed our stay and definitely felt like staff were like a family unit, they appeared to love their jobs and pitched in on many areas on site.
One lovely lady called Shirley seemed to be everywhere we went but she was lovely and always smiling :) as was the tall slim guy who worked on the bar and in the pool cafe. (Sorry I cant remember your name)
We were treated like friends from the minute we got there and everyone was happy to help with anything we asked. Obviously Newquay view only hire happy polite people :)
We will be booking again soon for next year. :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay here with us, and the amazing comments regarding the staff here. I will make sure your feedback is passed on to all of them to see.
We do apologise about the cooker taking so long we have not heard of this before so will look into this, and will take on your feedback regarding the pool. Its great that the shop staff managed to help you out with boxes for your sons robot.
We really do feel very lucky to have such a great team of staff here that try to make every guests experience great.
Thanks again for your kind comments, we look forward to seeing your again next year!
Just completed second stay, previously stayed last October. Both visits great. Site surroundings very tidy and welcoming, reception very helpful. We have a dog so was a bit wary about dog friendly caravan but it was spotless.
Had granddaughter with us and made use of fabulous pool facilities. Full life guard service and super changing facilities and showers. Sauna available poolside also. Lovely cafe adjacent to pool with nice variety of snacks. Beauty salon above pool with great range of services but didn’t get time to use, will next time.
Lovely location, bit hilly so a good walk to beach but plenty do it.
Very well stocked shop on site with very good opening times.
Would thoroughly recommend for family holiday. Large choice of accommodation so quieter options in the park only have to be asked for. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your second stay here with us, that the staff were helpful and enjoyed the facilities we have here. Thanks again for your kind comments, we hope to see you again soon where you can enjoy the salon next time aswell!
Check in was quick and easy and staff very friendly, caravan was in the main clean & tidy with beds already made up, tv was service by a dish so multi choices of channels available, clubhouse clean and tidy just a little pricey .
Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback, we are pleased to hear you had a peaceful break here with us, and that you found your check in quick and easy. Thank you again for your kind comments and we hope to see you again in the future!
