We enjoyed our stay at Atlantic reach. We stayed in a 4 bedroomed gold accomadation, this was all very modern and clean lots of bathrooms for everyone. We went as a party of 7 there was lots of space and we enjoyed cooking a bbq outside.
As you come on to Atlantic Reach you have to pass through the older accomadation which is extremely run down and can be a bit off putting but as soon as you turn the corner and see the new houses you feel a little better.
The reception was good on arrival and we got our keys well before the 5 o'clock time they say which was good. The children went for a swim in the indoor pool while we were waiting so that was good that you can use this as soon as you arrive.
We visited the restaurant only once as the food was cold when it arrived so we had to send back two meals, so we didn't get to eat altogether so this spoilt it a little but they did take one meal off the bill. A warning though to all the extra costs that you can occur the pirate pete's play centre which we thought was part of the facilities you can use has a charge on it £2 for one hour but it was so hot in there the children don't stay for an hour they come out then want to go back again which is another £2. This can mount up over a week. The Golf is also extra. The only free thing on site is the indoor pool.
It is a good point to go off to many lovley beaches, Lusty Glaze, Watergate Bay and Porth. (Take a picnic to watergate bay very expensive to buy food there as there are no shops just one take away place). We had a lovely time but the on site restaurant and all the extra charges put us off going back again as they are not listed in any information prior to booking.

Just arrived today at Atlantic and feel conned by what I have paid for the new 'atlantic premier' houses don't exist, on the site and pictures looked great and gave it the benefit of the doubt, but got here, the place is dated, is NOT modern, the house we are in is basic, tired, needs new carpets, sofas, smells funny. The guest information books have major spelling and grammar mistakes! Think I will definitely be having a word with reception as this is not what I booked. I booked the new ones, the place does look like a run down council estate.

Atlantic Reach is a great family accomondation resort, the house was very clean, swimming pool and recreational facilities were good and you did.nt need to leave the resort unless you wanted the beach!. The only downside was the beds in the house, not good.

Some people's reviews really do make me laugh!
A resort is NEVER going to please everybody but some people really take whinging to the extreme!
We stayed in the Premier 2 "house". All clean and tidy. Plentiful supplies of cutlery, crockery, etc. Probably more than I'd anticipated.
Lovely and modern.
Yes, parking is a bit first come, first served but if you can't park near the accommodation, then use the main car parks. Gets me how some can't be bothered to walk a few minutes from their car. It's only a holiday and I'm sure you can deal with it for a few days.
No, there's not much in the way of entertainment but we were quite happy in the house every night with a drink whilst our little boy was in bed.
The pool was good. The pirate play den for kids was good also. It costs £3 per child, not a high price for a kid to have an hours fun??!
Nice and close to Newquay and other sights.
We found plenty to fill a week.
Overall, a good park with good accommodation.
A few too many picky people methinks :-)

I won 2nd prize in a local newspaper competition which entitled us to a break at Atlantic Reach Resort for £199 which was an absolute bargain.

First impressions when we parked up were that the car park was in need of resurfacing and could have been marked out appropriately. The rest of the resort looked fine.

The reception staff were friendly and efficient and we were supplied with a map of the site and directions to where to park close to our property. However when we got down there the car park was heaving with people parked up on the kerbs at the side of the roads which were very narrow. We opted to unload the card then take it back up to the main entrance car park as we felt it would be less likely to be bumped by another vehicle up there which was only a few minutes walk from our property.

We were supplied with black wrist bands to wear during our stay because some of the owners of the properties on site do not sub-let their properties to Atlantic Reach in which instance their tenants are not allowed to use the indoor facilities e.g. gym, swimming pool and club. I found that mine gave me a bit of a rash on my arm because it made my arm sweat in the hot weather - I think they could think of a better way of identifying their guests.

The accommodation was in a 3-bedroomed terrace style house. It was very clean although some of the paintwork could have done with a little bit of a touch up in places. The kitchen did lack a dishwasher but as we only ate breakfast there it did not bother us - however if you were cooking for a family in the property to save money, you may prefer one as you are supposed to be on holiday.

The inventory for the property was hidden away on the inside of the understair cupboard door - it would have been better if it had been placed in the information folder instead where you would see it immediately. However the inventory did not match up with the items in our accommodation, in some cases there were more plates or dishes than there should have been and in some instances less - so I assume they don't check the inventory after each occupation. Our property was extremely short of coat hangers but fortunately we did take some of our own.

One embarrasing thing was that we expected there to be a TV and DVD player in the property but all we could find was a small TV - we immediately reported this to reception but no one contacted us about it so we had to mention it again. When the gentleman came with a DVD player for us as soon as he looked at the TV he told us it was a combined TV/DVD player - we felt really stupid - but why didn't the inventory say that was what was in that property and not two separate items.

The restaurant was rather disappointing because on the day of our arrival the menu had been changed and they were serving Italian food every day - when we checked the information file in our property we discovered the old menu was still in there and this had catered for all appetites and tastes. We did not eat in the restaurant as my husband does not eat Italian food, so we cannot comment on the quality of the food.

We did not use any of the facilities on-site because we went out every day exploring the area and meeting up with friends but the property was ideal for us.

The price we paid was an absolute bargain but we would not want to pay the normal rate to stay there and therefore if we returned to the area we would look elsewhere for accommodation.

We had a very enjoyable holiday.

We stayed in an Atlantic premier 2 which was very clean and bright. Stairgate is a must if u got a toddler. Very quiet at night with no disturbances. Indoor pool was clean and had lifeguards even though it said it didnt. Very close to Newquay and surrounding towns. Indian queens fish and chips shop "port and starboard" is a must and there is a pub with a big outdoor area minutes from the fish and chips. We never ate on site so can't comment on that but it seemed busy which is a good sign.Parking is fun and games but it's not a big deal as some people make out :) To round up a very enjoyable stay with friendly staff and we would come back in the future.

The house was spotless when we arrived and you couldn't fault anything. There were doormats provided front and rear, and the new TV/DVD player was a real bonus for the one day when it rained a little. Great beaches at Crantock Bay and Watergate too.

Room Tip: The roads/parking could be better when full.
