“Anyone for a party?”
Reviewed July 11, 2012

On getting to the B&B the welcome was friendly and we were shown straight to our room. The first thing I noticed was that you were given a key directly for your room and to the front door for the annex. There were no times that doors were locked either which is a first for me. Cindy is a lovely and friendly lady who takes her time to make sure that you are ok. It is close to Newquay and to the aquarium and zoo. There is a tesco close by and so the location is brilliant,

There were a few disappointments to the stay though - the first being that on picking up the remote controls 1. your hand was covered in grease and 2. they didn't actually work! The bedding was clean but there was a half rolled tobacco cigarette on the floor, a button from previous occupants and part of the fridge! These were all seen by myself and my friend as soon as we walked in so how someone cleaning the room did not notice I do not know! Was lovely to put our belongings onto a side that still had wet tea on! On our 3rd night we returned from our relaxing meal and quiet drinks at a pub that overlooks the sea to find that Cindy and her partner had friends over in the room that was not occupied behind ours. We were told that they would not be late and to begin with the noise level was low. By midnight and on myself and my friend settling down for the night all we heard was the continuous swearing about making people pay more for the stay, making people pay for clean towels or just not washing them and charging for other extras. As you can imagine hearing that you should be paying more when you can't get to sleep in the first place was not the highlight of my night. It was gone 2am before people decided to leave and around 3am before the last of the noise was heard. On mentioning this I was given a story of 'I went to bed, that's the trouble when that room is not occupied'. Although we were apologised to it didn't really settle that it also ruined the next day because we were so tired we were back by late afternoon instead of doing what we wanted to that day. £70 not well spent for the experience that night.

However the breakfast is lovely and well presented with your requirements met. The dog is so quiet and friendly and sat for ages for fuss! Cindy even placed a cool bag and cool packs into her fridge in order for myself and my friend to bring home some clotted cream.

Overall I would place that my visit for good however the end was slightly ruined and the apology didn't really resolve the issue and was therefore not very good value for money. I would return again but ensuring I did not stay in the same room and was in the main house where it appears to be quieter.

Room Tip: The crystal room is a lovely room with a beautiful ensuite, a mini fridge and use of a dvd player an...

I am generally sorry for this review and how upset the customers were . We were a little noisy at 1 point and can only apologize again,.We work very hard and sometimes have friends round as we do actually have a life or we would go mad. Who ever reads this review and is worried about staying here , just read other reviews and you will realize this is a little extreme and very rare.
of course we cannot please everyone all the time but we try our best and generally do make customers very happy. As to charging people for towels we have and never would so slightly bizzarre comment, possibly a conversation had with a friend, but not actually a reality.

Stayed here for 2 nights from friday 6th july for 2 nights and I can honestly say that I have never experienced such fantastic service and hospitality anywhere I have stayed before. Checked in a lot early than anticipated but this was no problem. We orginally booked the double room which doesn't have an ensuite. Cindy offered us the oriental room as they had a cancellation which did have an ensuite. Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. Great location easy walk into newquay. Couldn't ask for anything more!. Will definately return!

Lovely, friendly B&B. Clean, comfortable. Friendly, welcoming hosts, Cindy & Ashley were very helpful & accommodating. Master bedroom is a home from home, with en suite power shower & spa bath, coffee & tea making facilities & even our own fridge. Great breakfast too. Very quiet friendly dog who just loved to be fussed over. A very pleasant, enjoyable stay with all the home comforts we needed. Thank you to Cindy & Ashley for such an enjoyable stay. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We stayed at Jasmine House a few months ago just for a night. Although we did not spend much time there we thoroughly enjoyed the time we were there. Cindy is incredibly accommodating and helpful and the house is neat and tidy. Unfortunately we had to leave very early in the morning so did not get to enjoy the breakfast. We would highly recommend Jasmine House to anyone travelling in the Newquay area.

We have just returned from spending 7 nights with Ashley & Cindy, what a great couple, very helpful and makes sure you have all that you need. We stayed in the Crystal room, which is a very pleasant room with an excellent en-suite. To start the day we were served with a hearty breakfast, and plenty of it. The house is close enough to town to walk there, but far enough away to be extremely peaceful. We will definitely be staying there again in the future, very highly reccommended.

Room Tip: The Crystal room is in the annexe with only one other room, so very quiet.

We stayed at Jasmine House earlier this year and had a great time. The breakfasts were great and the owners very friendly. We loved the place and it is ideally situated. There is a beautiful beach close by and is in easy access of the main centre. We had the crystal themed room and it is very nice.
We would certainly stay there again and intend to return. Whilst there we were able to take in several attractions and would recommend a visit to the Screeh Owl sanctuary a fabulous day out and family friendly.

A friendly and accommodating service provided in an excellent location.
This was our 3rd visit to this particular guest house and we would stay nowhere else. The hosts Cindy and Ashley are so accommodating, like a friend. We stayed in the master bedroom. There is extra attention to detail in this luxurious room. This includes a fridge and we had a jug of fresh milk every day , so good for a cuppa! There are the usual facilities which include a comfortable king size bed, a tv and dvd player as well as a refreshing power shower. The room is clean, tidy and very nicely furnished.
The excellent breakfasts are value for money. A wide range of cereals are available followed by an English breakfast which includes 7 items!
The guest house is within easy reach of the rail and bus stations and there are local bus stops just yards away. There are nearby amenites.
