Description: Nestled above the cliffs of Pentire Headland, looking out across the mighty Atlantic, The Lewinnick Lodge has probably one of the best coastal views anywhere in the county. Serving modern British food with an emphasis on fresh fish, the Lodge has long been established as the premier location to enjoy fine Cornish fare and hospitality. 'The Lodge' is open for breakfast from 8am and serves food throughout the day until 10pm (10.30Pm in the summer), everyday of the year. You can choose to dine in our restaurant, bar, beer garden or on the sun terrace - wherever the mood or occasion takes you! We offer modern British and world cuisine using the best local produce. Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce, prepared on the premises by a team of talented chefs. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish and seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again. We now also offer 10 stunning boutique style bedrooms so you never have to leave!

I've eaten here a few times, twice on this last trip. One time it was excellent, the second time was not quite so good but there is a simple reason for this. You can't book a table between 5-6pm, so we booked at 4.45 as we have young kids who usually eat at 5, however this also meant there was no specials until 6 and I think there was a shift change as service was poor and we were served by all different people. It's a shame because if you offer food all day, it should remain of the same standard.
However it does not put me off, I would jus choose my time more wisely next time. The location is brilliant and we saw some huge swells being winter, and have enjoyed it previously in the summer sat outside drinking cold crisp white wine! Nice. Plenty of high hairs too just FYI

Hi thanks for the lovely review - sorry about your experience last time - we need to close our restaurant between 5 and 6 to get it ready for the evening service and our specials start again at 6 as we change them twice daily. We hope to see you again here soon - if there is something off the lunchtime specials you wanted in particular please let us know - there's always a possibility there may be some left and we can ask the chefs for you

This was a great find. It's an ultra modern bar and restaurant. The bar is situated in a large social area with a pool table. The restaurant is separate which is nice as you can have drink before or/ and after your meal. The menu has a variety of choice ranging from burgers to mussels to salads.
Food was fresh, salad with the burger was limited to a few leaves of rocket which was a little disappointing.
I didn't get a chance to see the view due to the weather being so bad, it's meant to be spectacular !

Hi thanks for your comments - sorry about your salad - our chefs usually put a lot of effort into their dishes so this is quite unusual. You should definitely come back for the view - there's not many places you can get closer to the sea!

Been to Lewinnick on 4 or 5 times in the last year, went on New Year's Day and food was excellent yet again. Staff very pleasant - as always - great atmosphere, looking forward to going back again in February.

We visit this bar all year round when we are in Cornwall. The location is amazing with stunning views of the the sea. Generally speaking I love the experience of visiting this bar but over the Christmas period I visited it three times with my family and on each occasion the bar staff were very short and not at all welcoming. In fact I think they were more interested in what was on the television than serving. What has happened to customer service? Is it that difficult to get staff with a pleasant personality. Just drop the attitude. The location will not always encourage people to come if the experience is bad.
