Went here for breakfast at the weekend and it was nice.
My boyfriend had the traditional English and I had the waffles. His looked delicious and he ate every bit, mine was ok but to be honest the waffles were pretty dry and there was just a dash of maple syrup over the top, whereas a little pot of the side would have been better and more generous for the amount of waffles on the plate.
They were busy so had to wait a while for our hot drinks but they warned us of this so it was ok and really you come here for the views and the walking you can do afterwards to work off your breakfast!

We chanced upon this wonderful place whilst visiting Pentire Headland, at lunchtime, on a recent visit to Newquay. So impressed were we with the surroundings we decided to spend our last night in Newquay eating in the restaurant. It happened to be a 'Specials' night - 'Wednesday night is Steak night' - so we took the plunge. We were not disappointed. They found us a seat by the window and the view was spectacular - SO WAS THE FOOD! We were so sorry that we didn't find this sooner. The service is efficient, the staff very friendly, the place, spotlessly clean, the ambience is comfortable and the new owners have obviously worked very hard to create this wonderful restaurant with rooms.
We understand that before they took over that it didn't have a very good name. IT DOES NOW! Make no mistake, this is a wonderful venue with beautiful food and a fabulous place to sit and watch the sea. Next time we will take a taxi!

We came here for a drink one evening, and the lounge was very warm and comfortable. The restaurant looked lovely and was extremely busy, which is always a good sign. It is a little bit far out of town for me, but the situation is gorgeous on the headland.

Came here for my sisters 16th birthday...29th September at 1.30, and there was a party of 9 of us. Started off okay, with first round of drinks.. We were sat next to bar and it would have been easier to turn around and get me ourselves rather than see them just on the side for 5 minutes sitting there. When we came around to take our order all still seemed okay until I got asked for my order twice, seeming like they forgot it first time around? After waiting half an hour (and other tables who ordered after, and got their food before us) we asked where our food was, and as they say ..they were going to find out for us. Anyway, after 40 minutes we got our food, with one young nice waitress bringing our food out...two items at a time. So with all having roasts (which shouldn't take long too cook, as I know working In a restaurant myself) were cold when they all were finally on our tables. Yorkshire puddings hard & cold had to ask for gravy to warm our food up and complaining to the waiter who didn't do anything about it. Anyway, after not getting a check back and the waitresses being busy otherwise there wasn't anyone to complain to, so we were starving after waiting so long so we ate up. When our plates got cleared I told a lady what was wrong, and her response was "if you'd told someone, we'd have got it sorted" I explained that I had told someone but apparently the waiter who I spoke to didn't understand what I meant when I said the Yorkshire puddings were cold. Through all of that hassle, we wished we went somewhere else as we got offered coffees which took 10 minutes to arrive, no apology, but the manger coming over and asking "so, is everything all solved now"- no, we answered! We didn't finish the coffees, as half the party had to go to London/Cardiff/bristol. Took over two hours to arrive and leave- all we wanted is some quick roasts. Next time, go somewhere you trust and know...Lakeside!

Wow - the view from this place was sensational. The big windows mean that you get a good view from most places in the restaurant or bar.

Food was very good.

Staff were friendly.

The local ales were very good.
